#superman #clark kent #kal el #dc comics #superman design #my art #earth-101 #redid it a lil bit since last month's version bc i looked back at that one and didn't like the proportions #and switched up on the two tone going down the sides #and also changed the boots a bit #all in all i think this is the Definitive Earth-101 Superman design now (until i decide i hate this one too lmao)#gotta do the rest of the trinity's main modern day costumes + the rest of the modern league lineup + the titans and all that #have a pretty clear image in my head for bats and wondie so those two first though

In yet another entry into my obsessions with the Man of Steel, as evidenced by the recently completed essay series, I've also finally decided to put a character design on paper (or tablet) for him. Tried to carve out a pretty strong distinction between Clark and Superman, mostly through posturing. This is a Superman in his mid '20s, a couple of years into the whole Superman deal, as described in the ideas for a cinematic Superman previously expressed. Definitely sort of a rough design here, but I felt like sharing. Might also do some of the other characters mentioned in that essay series, so if you're interested in anyone in particular, let me know!
