The topic of my final works were a mind map. At first I was long considered as the subject to grasp. I found a very current connecting people through their actions and i just thought the topic. Finally, I chose as the main topic of spreading rumors.
In my neighborhood, rumors, gossip and intrigue spread and form just different maps. They affect not only my life, but certainly yours. I wanted to deal with mind maps in two levels. Because not only that man will himself thinking about the rumor, but apparently it will continue to communicate. It will also develop social maps.
My intention was to engage in this work, as many people and, of course, without their knowledge, that rumor is fictional. As a coherent group of people that I could watch I chose 1st-3rd year of all bachalors of our school. Spreading rumors was conceived as a fun game. I chose the five closest people in my neighborhood (of course students), who often move between each other and have a lot of contacts. I told those rumors topic, which was: "The new building will place IAD ordinary bistro fast food (McDonald's)." "Sowers of rumors" could, although rumor had spread, in any form, but it could give only a limited number of people. Everyone could choose only three people from his studio as well as any other three students IAD, according to your choice. These can then write down the sower, when and to whom rumor said or by whom it heard rumor. I supported and pasting false posters reading "McDonald plus IAD equals LOVE". A deployment of a discount on menu cards in these fastfood outlets. During the dissemination of posters describing different people or even ripping. Information came to such an extreme, when few students were lobbying for the Director of IAD (Doc. Ak. Mal. Misteri) against this plan. The information from the "sower" I finally assess how many people a day that were added. The successful spread of rumors I simultaneously gaining and using the survey data, which I founded Facebook. Clearly here, as expected, won dismissive reaction of students to the establishment of McDonald's food.
Then I analyzed all the information and materialized into a media image. In cooperation with our Faculty of Electrical Engineering I made diode board - the "digital painting", where each student IAD represented by its LED light. It will light up when the FAME knew, or does not come. Information read still divided into 12 sequences, where each sequence represents one three-second day. This is to see the number of people on that day a rumor spread. You can see not only who is aware of Fame and when, but also the connections between individuals and groups. Mind map and creating a single digital image rumors spreading through the whole group of students IAD. They are here to recognize the interaction between different disciplines or studios.
Finally, my work is the revelation that rumor about McDonald's food for our new building was fake. And therefore, that students who board at the "light", a victim of small mystification.
This "experiment" had two levels. The first plane was a thinking man and his attitudes and other more interesting plane was monitoring social interactions entire community of students IAD, which I graphically portrayed on its digital image.
