Does anyone know if somebody has gone through and compiled all of the script changes that are "Dean wouldn't say that" or flat out Gay™? The plan is that we show them to Dean in my new Metanatural Season 16 episode, but 100000% won't have the time to look though all the scripts.
I'm summoning hellers with encyclopedic knowledge of the insane show to ask y'all please please tell me all the times (or at least the first and main ones) that Dean apologized to Cas, for any reason, at any moment.
I'm writing a fic and want to make Dean's apology on character but for the life of mine I can't remember a time he ever apologized to the gay angel. Did it ever happen? Did he ever say the words "I'm sorry" to Cas?

So a while back, I threw together a VERY rudimentary search tool for my friend connor @sarahjacobs to make it slightly easier to search all of the episode transcripts from supernaturalwiki.com. I've been sitting on it a while, since it's, again, very rudimentary, but I've shared it in like 2 discord servers and people seem to find it helpful, so instead of putting in the time to actually make the search algorithm anything but blindly brute force, I'm just going to share it with you guys as is 💙
Some things to note:
It searches for (case-insensitive) exact matches ONLY
(Ex. "peanut butter" will only return episodes with "peanut butter" but NOT "peanut-butter")
It searches for exact character matches, and doesn't search by word. This means that non-specific requests will return unhelpful results.
(Ex. "cas" will return episodes with "cas" "castiel" "case" "occasion" etc.)
Because it's rudimentary, it's very slow, and browsers like Chrome will see that it's taking a long time and think that it's gotten stuck. It hasn't. If you get a little popup that says it's not responding, hit the wait button and wait.
Side note, once you do an all-season search, any searches you do right after that will also go quickly, but wait too long and you'll need to wait again.
Search alternative below the cut if this tool just isn't working for you!
If you'd like to use google to run fuzzier searches, you can! Results may be imprecise and may return data that you don't need, but it goes a lot faster than my tool and is more forgiving if you don't remember exact phrasing.
If you didn't know, the "transcript" in quotes means that it must necessarily look for pages that contain the exact word "transcript" somewhere on the page.
Here's an example:
Your search term(s) doesn't have to be in quotes! However here I was looking for instances with "peanut butter" exactly.
I’m seeking out a scene in Supernatural where an angel is telling Castiel the names the other angels call him behind his back. Things like “the rebel.” The names are in reference to his actions in seasons 5-7, I THINK. I can’t remember the scene or which character was saying this to him, but I’d really like to find it.
It's been kind of a slow day at the office, so I did something I've been meaning to do for a while and made myself master files of Supernatural transcripts. Yes, I am fully aware that I am a massive nerd. I thought other nerds might find them useful, too, so I uploaded them here.
The transcripts are basically copy-pasted from supernaturalwiki, but I removed the "previously on" bits and deleted scenes. There are 9 individual season files as well as one fucking huge file with all the transcripts from seasons 1-9.
(Google drive is giving me problems with previewing, but you can download them all as .doc files. I promise they're safe.)
I was looking for a supernatural quote and accidentally stumbled onto episode transcripts of the show. So I thought I would share for you all, just in case anyone was interested in this kind of thing. :)
