Meeting People That I Look Up To

So I got to meet (briefly) SuperNovaDobe and Antiquity-Dreams at ALA 2015. And it was an amazing experience even though I pretty much spent the moment just sort of overwhelmed and very terrified.

My good friend Candace had simply dragged me over and had to do the whole, "Hi, my friend really admires you guys and is too shy to say anything by herself," thing. Which, I am.

I really do look up to them. I remember seeing their cosplays what... six, seven, years ago and I remember just falling in love with it.

I started cosplaying because of them and it changed my life in the best way forever. I made lots of friends and even with my shell today, I'm much less shy than when I was younger. I've found something that I love to do and how to express myself.

I remember when I found out that they'd gotten married and I realized in that moment, everything that I'd wanted in my life, I could have, one day. One day, I could be in love with someone and be married and still do what I love and it was just really good for me in accepting who I am.

Maybe that sounds a bit much, but these two talented women are people that I've looked up to for a long time and it was something I will always remember, being able to meet them.

(Also they're really, very nice and their cosplay looks even more amazing in person.)

I kind of sat in near shock on a bean bag chair after and just deep breathed for a half hour to keep of just falling over.

Thought I’d try this #share4share thing ;) These two amazing cosplayers/artists are the reason I started cosplaying n.n Their incredibly talented work and their inspiring love for each other thought me to believe in myself and to not be afraid to simply be myself and be proud of who I am. If there are two cosplayers that truly deserve to be known and supported, it’s these two ;) #supernovadobe #antiquitydreams

YUP! Long time dream costume and all. 

Sorry we never hung out with you at Fanime! Xaynie and I saw Raven once in Viola (or at least we were pretty sure it was), walking in opposite directions down the street to the con at that big crosswalk. We yelled to her, and she turned with a confused "who the hell is this?" face, and we figured she must not have recognized us in our costumes. We were all in too much of a rush to stop and identify properly.

How did I miss you were doing Dios!? I faved the ring progress, but somehow didn't make the connection. Haha!
