I don't exactly remember how I found you, but I sure am glad that I did! Your stuff is great and though I'm not always that active, I love seeing your edits when I get the chance :D
aww this made me happy!thank you so so much! :D
Tell me what you think of me :)
Hi! Sorry to bother you, but I wanted to know if you had any tips (or anything else to say) for people that are just starting out with photoshop (aka me) and don't know too much? I love your account by the way. :)
Heya.
First of all: you don’t bother me! <3
So... the most important thing to know about Photoshop (speaking from experience here): don’t give up. Never lose patience. Photoshop can tend to drive you nuts, flip tables and you start boiling with rage because it doesn’t do what you want.
Problem is... every software is only as good as its user. So, deep breath and show that software who’s boss. Got it?! Good.
Next thing to know: figure out what you want to do. Start easy. Don’t begin with any complicated stuff.
When I first wanted to make gifs I was shot down left and right when I turned to people who I thought could be able to tell me a few tricks. They didn’t. They said: “learn how to google”. I did know how to google and it took me forever to figure out how to do the easiest things in PS.
I’m not telling you to use google. That’d be fucking mean.
Which version of PS are you using? I’ve just written a pretty simple and detailed gif tutorial. You can find it here. If you’ve got further questions, I’m right here. ;)
Hi! I love your art so much, so I want to know what do you use to make it or could you give any tips to someone who doesn't really know much (aka me) on how to start? Thanks! :)
aw thank you <3
I use Sketchbook Pro for drawing, mostly cause I’m very familiar with it already, but I’ve been playing around in photoshop since I have access to it for now.
I’m the absolute worst at giving advice on art stuff, but... basically I’d just say to practice a lot. Experiment with what feels best to you, play with different styles, don’t be afraid to try new things. Also use references, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with references and they will seriously help you. There’s also no harm in tracing over a photo of someone a few times to better learn their features. Seriously, it’s like a muscle memory thing or somethin and it helps a ton. Honestly, just keep messing around until you start to feel comfortable. You won’t be a pro right away, be patient with yourself, give yourself room to make mistakes and grow. And most importantly; don’t let jealousy keep you from continuing to develop your own skills. You may not be as good as the people you look up to yet, but you will get better if you keep going!
