26. Were you ever a “normal person”? Did you want powers? Now that you have them, do you regret ever getting them? If you weren’t ever ability-less, do you wish that you had that experience? Why or why not?
Yeah, I sure was. Just an average kid that liked bugs and hated homework and bullies. Getting into fights with my cousin because we were around each other so much and were just the worst amounts of alike and different haha! I did always want powers, though. A lot of teachers hated me because I wasn't afraid to mouth off if I thought they weren't being fair. Any time I saw bullies after someone, I got involved. And got my butt kicked. I was so sick of feeling so helpless all the time, but I still kept doing it.
And you know? Even after the watch stuck itself on me, there were times I still felt helpless. There are some problems you can't punch, and you'll always find someone that can punch harder than you. My grandpa helped me get more creative about things, him and Gwen trying to hammer it in to think before I act.
I did hate it, after awhile. That kind of responsibility, it.. It's heavy. It gets in the way of a lot of things. It can mess up relationships. Then I lost one of my favorite alien forms. It's kind of hard to describe, the feeling of it all, but. I watched him get ripped out of me and erased. It hurt so bad in so many ways, that I quit. We had access to the creator of the watch, and different tools, so we took it off, and I kept it hidden but I kept it off for three whole years. And I don't regret taking that break.
And I don't regret ending that break, either.
23. Are you (or your secret identity) a pseudo-celebrity because of the use of your power?
Yep!
Before I was found out, people did do reports on the different aliens I could be, all kinds of speculating on where these different guys came from and their motivations and such. I even had someone try to use them as characters for a kid's show without permission, haha! INFURIATED me as a kid, now I look back and think that was the funniest thing they could have done. It was so bad it was hilarious. I should have tried to get one of the toys, my cousin was so right about that.
After it got leaked that all those random aliens were actually the same random teenager years later, I really hated it. I didn't want to be famous. I mean, 10 year-old me did, for sure, but not 15-year-old me. It's still kind of annoying, sometimes, to not be able to go somewhere and just chill around like everyone else, but fame has its perks. Like the smoothie licensing deal. And if I know a local charity thing is going on I can show up and they get a TON more coverage and more help gets done, so that's pretty cool. AND IT'S SO GREAT TO JUST RUN UP AND BE LIKE "HI OFFICER I GOT IT FROM HERE" AND THEY JUST LET ME. THAT WAS SUCH A PAIN BEFORE NOW IT'S A BREEZE. I DON'T HAVE TO EXPLAIN ANYTHING THEY SEE ME AS THE EXPERT I SO AM
7. What are your opinions on superheros? Super villains? People who have powers but refuse to get involved?
Well, as a superhero, I'd say I think superheroes are pretty cool and villains are pretty sucks!
Hahaha but yeah, people are just people at the end of the day. I made the decision to be a hero because I like helping people and wanted to take on that responsibility as soon as I had the means. And it's hard. Sometimes it kind of feels like a mistake, even now. It's so hard, and I learned a lot about myself and my limits. I even quit for a few years, tried to be a normal kid. But I just have that sense of justice in me, I can't just let something be when I know it's wrong.
And having done this for over a decade at this point, I know not all "villains" are completely horrible. People have a lot of very different reasons for doing the things they do. Some are genuinely terrible, some just need help. Hurting people is wrong, full stop, but why someone is doing that can sometimes be dealt with without an actual fight. I mean, my best friend now used to try to kill me on sight, so like. There's nuance.
And because of ALL THAT, people who have "powers" or abilities that are just trying to live their life? Yeah they're fine. It's easy to say that they have a responsibility just because they technically can do something, if you can't also do that. But just because someone technically could risk their life, doesn't mean they have to. That isn't fair to try to take that choice from them. It's their life.
25. Would you, or have you, ever abused how people view you (as a result of your abilities) in order to get what you want?
...I plead the fifth,
HAHA no but like. I got my powers when I was ten, man. I broke into a fancy hotel with one of my aliens to play a video game that wasn't released yet that was going to be part of a convention later that day and got me and my family kicked out. I had my grandpa, and he did the best he could to stop me from doing that kind of stuff. And I still did things like climb inside the back of an ice cream truck and start eating everything until the watch timed out and I got sick.
Also abused might be a stretch but I sure took advantage of how people see me to sign up a deal with my favorite smoothie chain where they can use my likeness for advertising and I get free smoothies and snacks for life and also some royalties. Superheroing isn't cheap!
15. Is it possible to overuse your power? What symptoms do you experience as a result?
Ehhh yes and no? My powers come from the Omnitrix, so a lot of the limits are technology based. Although I guess some people might not be able to handle shapeshifting and learning how to understand completely new and different forms of sensory input. I have this one form, Wildmutt, that's a vulpimancer. That's a type of being that doesn't have eyes, but has incredibly sharp senses of smell, scent, and touch. The whiskers on the front of my head can help me tell where things are from little vibrations in the air, and it was a trip figuring out how to put all that information together. Got it in a few minutes, but I bet there's other people that would just like get a version of motion sick or something.
The watch's power isn't infinite, and it takes a lot of energy to keep me in a "changed" state. There has been too many times to count that I've timed out and gone back to normal in the middle of a fight and had to improvise until it recharged enough for another transformation. Not exactly a fun thing to deal with now, let alone when I first got it 😂
That said, there are ways to get it to keep me in a different form longer. Big long story shortened, there was a time I had to live a few months as an alien full time, and to do that I fiddled with the settings and set that one as my "default." Sure did some stuff to my head to be living 24/7 as a completely different species but I was mostly back to myself after like a week. Biggest issue was getting used to being like half the height I used to be haha!
5. How normal are powers in the world you live in?
That kinda depends on how you define "powers." Like, I consider going Heatblast and controlling fire with him as one of my powers, but a regular pyronite? That's just how they are, that's how their bodies work. One of my powers as XLR8 is super speed, but for someone born as a kinnaceleran that's just regular speed for everyone on their whole planet and we're all weirdly slow. And for people with mixed species parents, that's up to how they personally deal with their family heritage.
That said we do have like literal superheroes that aren't me and some mutations and such so like. To the point it's considered rare but apparently a lot more common than in some other worlds on this website! Also magic real

Applications
Conductivity Manipulation
The user can manipulate conductivity, the ability of a material to conduct electricity, heat, fluid or sound. Different materials have different levels of resistance to various types of materials. Some materials, like metals, enable for little resistance to the flow of energy like heat and electricity, making them excellent conductors. Other materials, like wood, amorphous solids like glass and plastic and ceramics, provide a greater resistance to the transfer of energies. These are what's known as insulators. There is also the fluid conductivity, usually associated with soil, porous rocks and vascular plants, which is the ability to easily transfer water. One with this ability can potentially alter the level of conductivity and resistance regarding materials and living beings. Enhancing or diminishing these properties can control the rate of transference or counteraction, allowing for safe passage of materials or preventing it, allowing for protection against harmful phenomena.

Ok so this combo sounds very OP and definitely fit for a villian. I'm definitely a villian lmao
