“Eh? I thought you were sick or something Yoko-chan.”
Dearly Departed
superpoweredpeaches
The man named Godai Yusuke had just returned to Zawame City for the first time in months. After helping some victims of the Global Freeze, he decided to return to Zawame, not only to check on the situation, but to keep his promise of going on a journey with his dear friend Minato Yoko.
For hours he had searched, looking in all the places he knew her to go. Visiting her home had been uneventful, it looked as though it had been abandoned for months. Only did a visit to the local juice bar give him any indication as to what had happened. Unable to find Yoko, he looked for Kaito or Kouta to inform him of what happened, but they too, were nowhere to be found. Finally, at the juice bar, Yusuke found out the truth.
All of them were assumed dead following the Invess Crisis.
This cut Yusuke deep. Yoko, Kaito, and Kouta, all different in their way, were all allies that he held dearly. And despite the fact that he was needed elsewhere, he had left them in their time of need. And now they were gone.
And it felt like it was all Yusuke's fault. His power was so great, yet for every bit of power he had, just as many souls weighed down on him.
Yusuke's feet began to wander, taking him to the graveyard where Yoko laid to rest as he fell to his knees and began to weep, not only for his dear friend, but for every person who's death his power could have prevented.

She stood, frozen in place..her eyes widened, her mouth slightly ajar. There was Minato Youko..and involuntarily her cheeks began to flame. Mayu wasn't usually into older women, but Youko wasn't exactly old. At least, she didn't look it. The former Yggdrasil employee was strong and beautiful..
Memories of Sorrow [superpoweredpeaches]
Minato Youko has entered the Underworld of Mayu Inamori
She remembered it like it was yesterday. Falling to her knees in the floor after seeing her twin sister break the charm. Mayu had wanted to believe that Misa could be saved. That she hadn't changed and become this..this monster that stood before her. Laughing her, mocking her. Telling her the story of dying and being reborn as a Phantom. Of coming home on a rainy night to her parents and gutting them in cold blood with her new-found powers. Brutally ripping away everything that Mayu had held dear.
doki....do-ki..
That was the moment that her heart cracked, that all sense of hope was lost. She cried and sobbed incessantly as cracks appeared all over her body, purple energy in her mind manifesting as the cracks grew. Silent...yet confident in its victory, inflicting unimaginable pain on all spectrums. Physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Youko would feel all of these as well, going through the memory of Mayu's brush with death.
The Dragon appears in the last vestiges of Mayu's mind...observing the scene that went on. The memory of the sisters hugging, the elder's spirit whispering, "Whether it's a beginning or an end is up to you." The younger screaming her name while her eyes were red and her cheeks were wet, suddenly making the purple cracks turn gold...and everything turned white as the dream blacked out.
She was so close to despair. To giving me a human form. Yet she survived...and I am left here. This little human is special...and if I drive her to despair, I wouldn't be able to watch and see where she ends up. And I'm curious where she would end up.
A New Leaf (AU with superpoweredpeaches)
It's been a few weeks since the Zawame Incidents, and though the Riders were able to keep the Inves armies from spreading to the rest of the country, some force had kept them from getting into the city itself to help with the fight there.
But now, the victims of the Inves War had been able to get out of the ruined city. While he wasn't trained in medicine, Gentaro still wanted to help. And that's what brings him to the hospital today.
After getting the go ahead from the nurses, he enters the room with a small basket of chocolates not available in the hospital.
This woman has been through hell on earth, so all he can do is bring her some cheer.
"Hello there, Miss Minato. I'm Kisaragi Gentaro, and I'm here to bring you some smiles."
A ghostly figure approached Mayu, slowly walking towards, slowly becoming recognizable as Minato Yoko "Hello Mayu" she sadly, unable to look her in the eye. [superpoweredpeaches]
"Youko.." She trailed off…saddened by the implications of what she sees before her. Holding up the Genesis Driver and Peach Energy Lockseed. "So it’s true..isn’t it.." A tear came to her face.. "What happened to you?"

Send me 'Songbird' and I will put my music on shuffle and come up with an AU based on the first song I hear.
The Phoenix - Fall Out Boy
The revolution was starting. All the people standing near the border with the bandanas down armed with whatever they could grab: Stick and stones, bats, metal pipes. It didn’t matter. It was the time to raise their voice even if the attempts before were brutally silenced.
Takatora stood there, silent. He was like a father figure to most kids there but still had his heart burning with that youthful fire for freedom and need to liberate from the shackles of the oppressive government. And so he walked past the ranks. Boys, girls, people around his age. He quickly tried to cheer them as much in order to raise their spirits.
“It’s time” He said in a serious tone. “To make a move and change our future. Are we going to stand here and let them decide for us? Of course not. This world belongs to us and they will not oppress us anymore. We will fight and win or die trying.”
superpoweredpeaches//Mortality
Kaito dies.
It isn't quick or painless. He screams in pain for what feels like minutes when Kazuraba stabs him with his own sword, his own power that destroys him from the inside out, both figuratively and literally. Smiles in happiness as he passes away in the arms of his rival, someone he acknowledged. Someone, who in another life, another world, he would have happily called a friend.
Except it isn't the end for him.
Mai (or is it her and Kazuraba both?) revive him as a tree. The sacred tree. Right in the middle of the lot it was taken from.
It takes a while to adapt, even longer to understand his limits, but after a while he's able to catch glimpses of conversation about the survivors.
He hears about Zack and Peco happily dancing as part of Team Baron. He hears about Jonouchi and Oren and the Charmant II. He even hears about the Kureishimas and their efforts to make up for Yggdrasil, make up for supporting the Overlords.
Yet, he doesn't hear a single thing, not even the wildest rumor about Yoko Minato. The person who was willing to die to save him.
She transformed quickly enough back then, her suit protecting her from the worst of the fall. She was alive but not unharmed.
Her ankle was swollen, her leg broken. Nothing that wouldn't heal in time, but something that would hamper her nonetheless. The last time he saw her, he left her with a portion of his Invess army to lead and nothing since. The Invess, he knew would have left with Kazuraba and Mai.
Her, he wasn't too sure.
Light footsteps, careful and measured, snap Kaito out of his thoughts. They approach the tree.
