Inspired by somebody else, I'm going to be self indulgent and make a post about how my powers work(ed).
I came from a place where special abilities weren't unknown of, but those with it weren't the norm nor treated kindly by some.
My powers were Photokinesis/Light(Energy) Manipulation.
I think they primarily worked through my biofield (from my own body) but I had some ability to manipulate external light atoms too but not the source.
I could apply it in the follow ways:
Absolute Light: can create a field of absolute light that blinds temporarily/permanently can be so intense it can completely obliterate anything and everything in its path. Think of it like a light explosion.
Invisibility: could make myself or something else invisible by directing visible light away from it. Had to concentrate to work, not good at moving around and staying invisible.
Attacking: blasting from hands, various shaped projectiles, balls of light that could protect a blast from within ( using the ball up in the process), cutting and melting with light, laserlike blasts etc
Light Solidification: create constructs and weaponry like bows and arrows or swords. Highly durable, good for making shields/forcefields. Shields/Forcefields were not indestructible, required my maintenance and would still eventually break as the attacks made it harder and harder for me to maintain it. Weapons worked as intended, but burnt on contact, arrows could be made to explode and swords could let off cutting projectiles, could only be used by me and would dissolve at my will or when not touching my skin any more.
Light Conversion/Healing: if I'd been in the sun recently or was in sunlight at the time, I could heal small wounds on myself or others so I assume it was a sunlight into healing light-bioenergy deal.
Light Generation: could generate various intensities of light from my skin.
Light Flying: more of a boosted jump and gliding or hovering technique, with or without creating wings of light (think these were aesthetic choices), very tiring for some reason.
Light Immunity: can't be hurt by my own or others light or light energy attacks or abilities.
