Draco Malfoy headcanons

no au?? just in general?? oh gosh so draco is not one of my favorites and while i think he’s interesting and compelling he’s not one i think about a lot (and i’m just never sure about him; i have a fic prompt sitting in here from mickey from forever ago but idk what to do with it bc i’m not sure about draco) but i will try!! 

he thinks he’s pretty rad; like he genuinely believes he is better than pretty much everyone else (and not even just because of blood status)

he wants his father’s approval more than anything 

he likes crabbe and goyle because they’re easy to boss around and he’s smarter than they are, but sometimes he wishes he had a friend he could view as more of an equal

i think he’s closer with his mom than he is with his dad 

which isn’t to say that lucius doesn’t love his son; i think he just lets expectations and ideology get in the way of that so there’s a bit of a disconnect there

i hope after the war they rebuild their relationship as a family, but i feel like they don’t and it’s more like a gilmore girls style relationship between lorelai and richard and emily (actually now that i think about it i could see a lot of malfoy-gilmore dynamics tbh)

oh gosh; i can't decide if the overlap/intersectionality would be enough though or each group just starts to try to out social justice each other
