No but seriously, think about Supervale...

-Dean and Sam hearing about a desert community that can’t be found when you’re looking for it on purpose (Dean would probably make a Pirates of the Caribbean reference)

-Cas, Dean, and Sam end up researching more into the town and figure out that it’s a town completely controlled by a trickster

-Dean and Sam having NO FUCKING CLUE how to keep up with the logic that is only reasonable in Night Vale.

-Dean trying to find a station with good music, but they only find the Night Vale Community Radio and some garbled station from another weird place called “Desert Bluffs”

-Dean getting upset over this and calls Cecil “some creepy-voiced weird-fugly-ass radio dude.”

-Cas not being able to fly directly to them in town, so they have to meet him right outside the city limits (Because the town has already had enough anglels in town, THANK YOU VERY MUCH ERIKA)

-Carlos secretly helping Cas get in town, and them making the mistake that not everything can be as bad if the rest of the citizens of Night Vale are as normal as Carlos

-Dean and Sam looking for a motel and finding one where the fee is 1 new idea of what the sky is made of every night.

-Sam going to get food to bring back to the room, only finding a grocery store and an Arby’s, and not being bale to find a single slice of bread or bun for the Arby’s sandwiches.

-Cecil ignoring Cas and even going to the point of closing his ears and going “La-la-la-la-la-la-la! I can’t he-ear you-u!” Whenever Cas or anyone else tries to convince him that angels exist.

The City Council announces the opening of a new Dog Park at the corner of Earl and Somerset, near the Ralph’s. They would like to remind everyone that dogs are not allowed in the Dog Park. People are not allowed in the Dog Park.

It is possible you will see Hooded Figures in the Dog Park.

Do not approach them. Do not approach the Dog Park.

The fence is electrified and highly dangerous. Try not to look at the Dog Park, and especially do not look for any period of time at the Hooded Figures. The Dog Park will not harm you.

"The fuck," Dean says, and it goes downhill from there.

Their first thought was that the announcer was on drugs, but no. Everything he said was exactly the truth. The day after they arrived, Sam had been chased out of the library by something with tentacles, Dean had gotten waylaid by some woman named Josie who screamed at him for demanding the angels bring him all her salt, and they'd both spent the night in their motel waking repeatedly, guns clenched tight in their hands, terrified of apparently nothing. On their way to the corner of Earl and Somerset, they were hit no less than six times by cars that no longer existed.

"The only way to deal with this place," said Dean, staring up at the sourceless lights floating over Arby's, "is an air strike. Civilians be damned."

Some type of cloud passed overhead, raining corpses on them, and they dove into the Impala. "Run?" Sam asked.

"Run," Dean confirmed, and gunned the engine, racing out of town as fast as the forty-seven-year-old car could take them.

Supernatural/ Night Vale crossover

There is no such thing as weird. There is only the absence of normal. Just as there no such thing as death, simply the absence of life.

Welcome to Night Vale.

Night Vales Secret police would like to warn everyone about the 1967 black Chevy Impala parked outside of old woman Josies home.  The car had just recently driven into town carrying two well-dressed strangers within it. The passenger’s seat held a tall man about 6’ 4”with long dark hair. He casts a shadow behind him one of mistakes and regret. The Driver, still tall but shorter then the Passenger, has green eyes which still occasionally turn back when he’s not paying attention. His grip is tight against the steering wheel. He is tired. They are tired.

They are armed and they are dangerous but they are of no danger to us.

In other news, there is no other news. The news you believe you are hearing is simply a product of your imagination. One brought about by years of self-induced misery. You lie within your home rocking back a fourth as you gaze into the corner of the room. You have not left that spot in years and yet you still continue to exist. You no longer feel hunger nor thirst they are simply a state of mind that you have long forgotten.

There is a radio in the corner of the room set on a constant static. You have been listening to it for as long as you have been staring at the wall. Occasionally you see a shape dance within your peripheral vision but you cannot bring yourself to look.

The static stops.

A voice comes onto the radio

You stop

You get up

You leave the room

The two men, after spending an hour at old woman Josies house with some tea and cookies, are now within the town.  They are still dressed in their uniforms and openly asking people if anyone and I quote from the Passenger, “happened to see a tall, blue eyed man…angel…guy in a trench coat.” To which the Driver added in a deep but frantic voice, “He’s kind of dorkey, doesn’t really know how to talk to people but tries his best and he’s…” he trailed off then glanced at the taller one. “…Just, tell us if you see him.”

Anyone who speaks to them is asked to stare vacantly into space as they mumble the words of a long forgotten race.

 Or to simply laugh.

 I mean seriously who are they trying to fool?  Angels (which totally do not exist) are tall powerful beings with hundreds of eyes covering their body and most definitely not a simple man in a trench coat. I highly doubt that even if it were possible for the angel to find a human body it would not be able to contain all that power.

But who am I to correct anyone about totally nonexistent all powerful beings.

Now, traffic.

A large hole has appeared in the center of a highway that had also appeared overnight. Since no one knows exactly where the new highway leads there is no current traffic on it. Although there is a van parked right next to the hole as well as a group of scientists lead by wonderful, perfectly imperfect Carols.

They have been examining the hole for the past five minutes now. Two of which were spent tossing rocks and what looked like a porcelain doll into the hole just to see what would happen. Once they were done with that the scientists decided to call it a day and go back to van hoping to maybe catch up on some missed tv shows, or listen to some music, or maybe to even ask out a certain radio host to dinner tonight.

Oh! Thank you! Listeners, it seems out newest intern just brought me coffee. Well, I think its coffee. You see the machine in the break room has been broken for the last week and the nearest café is a few blocks away. Still, it looks like coffee, it tastes like coffee, so I can only assume it is coffee. Thank you dear interne…

Well thank you dear Intern Castiel.

  Listeners, it seems that the hole that randomly appeared on the highway that did not exist until this morning still exists and is of no inconvenience to us. Although on the opposite side of town in a small non discrete location that may or may not have been next to the house that does not exist a handful of rocks fell from the sky followed by a beautiful porcelain doll that surprisingly did not shatter.

Carolos team of scientist were soon at the scene. They began to collect the rocks for scientific purposes. The singular scientist that had thrown the doll into the hole fell to his knees glairing down at the doll with fearful eyes.

“Why.” He pleaded. “Why can I not rid myself of you? Why must you follow me? What have I done to deserve this?”

The scientist then began to sob. His eyes never straying from the dolls beautiful face.

  The two men have taken to parking outside of Big Ricos pizza (no one dose a slice like Big Ricos ) They have not entered the building and, most likely, they will never do so.

They sit on the hood of the car. The driver has a beer in both hands. He gives one to the passenger.

They are still tired but they cannot sleep.

They could stay like that forever in silence sharing a few rounds until night turned to day and weeks turned to years. They think for a moment they could spend the rest of their lives here pretending that this was normal.

They will not and if they do not find what they need they will pack up by tomorrow morning and leave. No one will stop them even if they wanted to.

“I fucked up.” The driver says. “I should have never let him see-“

The passenger stops him by placing the cold beer on the back of his neck. The driver did not flinch but the touch is enough to quiet him.

“We couldn’t keep lying to him forever eventually he would have found out some other way.” The Passenger takes a drink. “It just turns out that this was one of the ….worst ways for him to.”

 “It’s not just that! I still let this happen to me!”  The Driver snaps, there’s no real sting behind his words.  “And-and when he saw me- he ran! He couldn’t even bare to look at me and what I’ve become! I don’t blame him too! I’m a fucking freak! The only good that’s come out of this is that at least now I’ve gotten what I deserve!”

The Passenger wants to continue. He wants to tell the Driver that even though his eyes are black there is still something in the Driver, something so completely and utterly him and nothing will change that. There’s something in there that will always be him.

The Driver will have nothing of it though. He slams the door to the car and revs the engine. A warning for the Passenger that if he does not take his place the Driver will have no qualms about driving with the Passenger as a hood ordainment. The Passenger sighs.

 After searching for so long he feared that maybe the Lost Man did not want to be found. That maybe after all that searching they would come to the man only to find that he no longer wanted anything to do with them. That when they finally meet again both he and the Driver be rejected.

But most of all, he feared that the lost man blamed himself for this.

And now, the weather

(Living on a Prayer starts playing)

(There is a click, the music stops)

Oh, I apologize Night Vale. It appears that for some reason the weather was replaced with this old cassette of Bohn Jovis Greatest Hits.

I don’t know how exactly the cassette got here or how it started playing while it was simply lying here on my dashboard but like any great Radio Host I will take it all in stride.

Now, allow me dear listeners, to give you the weather

Oh, welcome back listeners. Apologies about the excess noise. It seems I’ve grown fond of the cassette and have decided to keep it until its rightful owner comes to claim it

  It seems interne Castiel has just…vanished. Lettirly. One moment he was here taking my empty cup and then next he was just gone. The empty cup fell to the floor making this soft tapping noise as it hit the ground. I am staring at the cup watching the last drops that I was unable to drink trickle to the ground. I regret missing those last few drops since the coffee was amazing.

City council would like to inform you all that the 1967 Chevy Impala is currently leaving town. Inside then men have changed out of their suits and are blasting rock music. The Passengers eyes are closed he is thankful for this moment of rest. Still he cannot find it in himself to sleep. He glances at the driver and part of him hopes that the shadow behind him was left in that little town with their odd dog park and even odder people.

The Driver is far too focused on the road to notice the Passengers stares. He’s is far too focused on how he keeps going five miles about the speed limit and that the car will need to have an oil change before the weeks up and how his eyes need to stay green or else they may lose him again.

There is also another man with them now. Lying on the back seat. He is not wearing a seat belt and the Driver keeps glancing over to him like he fears the man will disappear as he has done before. The man in the back is scared to open his eyes. Scared that if he did all he would see is dark pupiless eyes that only remain as a constant reminder of his past mistakes. Of the fact that he could not save them.

Angels do not sleep but this man no longer considers himself an Angel and he needs his rest for the days ahead.

Listeners, let us take a moment to think of our families. Of our brother, our sisters, our friends, and our neighbors. Let us take a moment to think of the family we still have. Of the old women next door who still brings us baked goods everyday under the guise that she had made too much. Invite her in today. Offer her a cup of tea and to share the cookies as you listen to her old and slightly muddled stories. Tell her some of your own slightly muddled stories.

Let us take a moment of silence for the family we no longer have.  Of the sister you forgot to hold hands with as you crossed the road. Of the friend who is no longer a friend. Of the kindly Uncle who took you in when no one else could, when no one else would. Remember your family, no matter how small they are, and curl into that blanket that they always have to share. Love them like they have loved you and even if you cannot promise them the universe promise them at least a tiny part of the world you have constructed inside yourself and they, in turn, will offer you part of theirs.
