Ahhh my dissertation deadline is quickly approaching and I’m trying to still remain christmassy despite the assignment stress. If you see me in the Christmas spirit in January, mind your business...Jan 4th deadlines mean Christmas is officially extended!!

I’ve spent the day reading Audre Lorde essays and editing my political science essay - a pretty good day!

I’ve finished all of my lectures and seminars for the term, so I just have my final essays that I am working on in the mean time. I also applied for a summer research job at my university a few days ago, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed for that!

3rd October 2020

I moved back to university a few weeks ago which was exciting partly because it meant I had a new room to decorate! I’m glad to finally have my workspace looking how I want it to, especially considering how much time I am spending at my desk now that everything is essentially online. 

I am about to get started on my dissertation reading for the weekend and am hoping that the cosy vibe of my room and Ella Fitzgerald on the record player will keep me going strong.

creme brûlée & tapioca pudding!

creme brûlée: describe your style

i don’t have one. like, really. if we are talking about clothes i just wear different jeans with different t-shirts, that’s all. and i have a whole lot t-shirts with this little pocket and/or funny image under it!

tapioca pudding: favorite animated characters?

bokuto and akaashi (cause they are like two halves of whole, inseparable); bokuto is character that inspires me and makes me want to fight for what i love (and he’s the cutest owlboy ever) and akaashi is just my animal spirit, he looks like he’s forever tired, a little bit mom friend and he likes to see his friends in their best form! and the design of them both is amazing.

My favorite subject is probably Spanish, but English is a close second.

3. What motivates you to study?

Pure spite at this point tbh

4. What do you love about yourself?

I read really fast so I always seem to have extra time

5. What time do you do your best studying?

in the morning, an hour before I go to bed or an hour before a deadline

6. What is your favourite tv show?

GILMORE GIRLS! It's the best no contest

7. Best self care tip for exam season?

Get food and do nothing but eat it. If I get really bored I read a book at the same time.

8. Do you listen to music when you study?

I’d say I do about half of the time. The other half of the time I listen to YouTube videos in the background.

9. What is your favourite book?

I can’t choose one, but a few of my favorites are Brave New World, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime, The Murder of Bindi Mackenzie, and Simon vs the Homosapiens Agenda

10. Where do you do your best studying?

The table that’s behind my desk :/ whoops

11. What do you get complimented on often?

Complimented on? Nothing that I can remember.

12. Where would you like to live in the future?

I want to live in the U.S., but somewhere hot. Probably Nevada or Arizona.

13. How long have you been active on your studyblr?

I’ve been pretty active for about 3/4 months.

14. Favourite way to spend study breaks?

Reading/eating

15. What is your favourite study snack?

Pretzels or nectarines.

Oh, I love these so much!

1. Yellow things, they’re so bright and full of life.

I’d have to say Big God by Florence and the Machine and Humility by the Gorillaz.

raspberry truffle: favourite kind of music?

To be honest I like music from most genres, but I suppose my favourites are rock and alternative.

6. What kind of music would you listen to if you could only choose one?

I would probably listen to just Blackbear. I like all of his songs, and he has 81 or something like that, so I should be good. It’s a shame I’d never be allowed to listen to Hamilton again though.

8. What color do you think goes best with your personality?

I’d probably say a dark blue. I’m not really a happy person, but I’m working on it.
