Okay, since somebody asked, I think it's important that I post just explaining the issues with TMA and TME.

TMA is a term meaning Transmisogyny Affected. TME is Transmisogyny Exempt.

In its usage, anybody that is not transfem is considered TME; in more extreme cases, anybody that is not a trans woman might be considered TME. I've gotten the sense that I'm getting pretty close to the transandrophobes declaring me TME, as the term is very inconsistent.

Here's the elephant in the room, TME is a slur; it is a new slur, and I've not seen anybody really label it as such yet, so I'm taking some responsibility for making that call and getting the word out.

TME is not used as a helpful, educational, empowering, or even consistent label. What it is used for is solely to attack transmasc and nonbinary people. It exists to silence them, to other them; that is its purpose.

TME is also built upon a falsehood; the truth of the matter is that no trans person, not a single one, is exempt from transmisogyny. We are all affected. People using TME as a term like to claim otherwise, as a means of centering themselves, but the claim is completely unsubstantiated and borders on self delusion.

Knowing this, I believe we need to recognize TMA and TME for what they are, unacceptable terms with no valid usecase, which exist solely to cause harm to our community.

I feel like the transandrophobes that come at me for not talking about transfem issues enough really just want me to bash transmasc and nonbinary people.

Like, I could talk about how I was sexually harassed on the street last week, but that was cis people so they won't give a shit.

They just want me to betray my principles, to be an angrier and less empathetic person than I am, and they openly try to manipulate my care for others to do it. They don't want me to open up about my actual struggles as a transfem person, they just want me to help them silence others.

Fuck them, I refuse to be a tool; there are transfem mutuals that I have here too. I'm not gonna betray all of our principles just cause some jackass anons too cowardly to show their faces try to guilt me.

Your actions are more likely to result in actual harm than some trans woman saying kys to nobody in particular while she vents about how we are harassed and stalked, that's what you just refuse to understand

I have no doubt that my actions have actually improved several lives.

I'm not going to lose sleep about people that are upset to see transmasc and nonbinary people supported.

If you had principles, you'd post publicly instead of bothering me anonymously; I don't post on transandrophobes accounts anonymously, I fully own up to my stance.

when a trans woman is a little too pro-trans woman, you explicitly tell her to shut the fuck up. when we discuss the constant harassment campaigns against us in ways that make us less than perfect victims, you blame us for them, when this website makes a trans woman public enemy #1 and forces her off of the website, actaully socially isolating her and endangering her well-being, not only do you take this less seriously than some trans woman writing vent post that don't target anybody in particular - you fucking join in! one day a trans woman will hurt herself and you'll have reblogged the fuckers doing it!

I don't feel like a public enemy, seems like a skill issue. Also trans men have already been hurt and killed due to your bullshit.

I think you should try to treat your fellow transgender women with more charitability and kindness. They receive enough scrutiny from the rest of the world, we should at least let each other breathe
