Last Week

This last week has been rather eventful, we posted several pictures submitted to us by black nonbinary and trans individuals for Blackout, we reblogged a picture of one of the Transfeminine Care Packages that’s been delivered, reminders that the launch of our Support Raine campaign is wrapping up March 7th, and that the Support Rowan came to a close as of yesterday- March 6th. There was another article on self expression in writing, a review of Being Emily, and a volunteering call for a trans feminine Fitblr Friday volunteer.

Our Out of This Binary shirts, End Transmisogyny sticker packs, and  Queer Sticker Sheets are all in stock!

Our Support Rowan campaign ended yesterday, March 6th and we are so grateful for all the support you’ve shown! We’ll be making our final donation to his campaign in the following weeks. We are still looking for an amab nonbinary individual new individual to sponsor for our next campaign, and if you are interested you can take a look at the application here.

The initial launch of our Support Raine campaign ends today, March 7th! Until midnight tonight, every $5 donated to her fundraiser will earn you a ticket worth a chance at winning the prize basket.You can find out the details by taking a look at her campaign here.

This week is starting off a large one for our campaigns here at Ways2Raise! 

Yesterday, March 6th, our Support Rowan campaign came to an end. Over the next few weeks we’ll be making our final contribution to his fundraiser. We want to thank everyone for all the work you’ve done, and the amount of help we’ve been able to put towards him!

We are still open to applications for an amab nonbinary individual to sponsor for our next campaign, and until we’ve found someone to work with, all profits beyond basic expenses made from the sale ofOut of This Binary t-shirts will be set aside for our first contribution.

And as for our Support Raine Campaign..

Today, March 7th, is the last day to enter for your chance to win some amazing prizes by donating to Raine’s Fundraiser!

Our very first campaign, Support Rowan, is drawing to a close as of March 6th, 2016! Through mutual and amicable agreement, we are closing out the campaign before his fundraising goals have been met.  We’ve enjoyed working with him a lot, and are very proud to have been able to raise more than $1,500 towards his top surgery with all of your help.

It’s not over yet, though! We’ll still be fundraising for him through the sale of our Out of This Binary t-shirts right up until the last day and are excited to see how much we can all contribute.

Here’s what you need to know before then:

The final donation to Rowan’s fundraiser will be made shortly after our campaign draws to a close on the sixth.

Up until then, all profits made from the sale of Out of This Binary shirts, outside of basic operational costs like shipping and the shirt itself, will go towards his fundraiser.

Any profits made from our Out of This Binary dedicated design after Support Rowan comes to a close will be set aside for the next campaign.

Once the campaign officially draws to a close, we will begin reviewing applications for our next campaign. We will release the application for that shortly. So keep a look out.

Share the Love

Valentine’s Day, like many holidays, can be tough for trans and nonbinary people, so we’ll be hosting this event to help share our love for each other. From now till February 14th everyone that reblogs this post featuring our two ongoing campaigns for Raine and Rowan, or submits a selfie or story about how they’ve learned to find love either for themselves or for the special person or people in their lives will be entered in a random drawing to win a free Out of This Binary tee shirt, an End Transmisogyny Sticker Pack, and one of our just announced Queer Sticker Sheets. 

Note: Submissions are accepted only from trans and nonbinary individuals.

Raine

Our latest fundraiser launched last Monday, dedicated towards raising money for Raine’s gender therapy and hormones.The initial launch of her campaign will be lasting until March 7th, and until then for every $5 you donate to her YouCaring, you’ll receive a ticket that gives you a chance to win a prize basket.

The basket contains various incredibly cool items, some of which can be seen above, being put forward both by we here at Ways2Raise and by other brands that are partnering with us to help launch Raine’s fundraiser. You can find out more about the prize basket, and the brands involved, on the original post. We’ll be highlighting one of the other brands working with us each week until the prize basket is handed out.

Rowan

Our initial campaign started out with the pre-order of our first dedicated design, our Out of This Binary tee shirts, and is continuing through their sale in our store which will be restocked shortly. The money raised from these shirts goes towards keeping them in stock and Rowan’s fundraiser, and nothing else. While we are currently almost entirely out of stock, you’ll be able to find them again soon, and we will post updates here on the submissions blog when they are. Support Sunday: Getting to Know Rowan

Every Sunday until their campaign’s completion, we’re going to do our best to include a little something about Rowan here so you can get to know them as you spread the word about their fundraiser and contribute to it.

Remember that beyond what’s necessary to keep the store going and continue ordering more of our product, all proceeds from our Out of This Binary dedicated design will be donated to Rowan’s Top Surgery Fundraiser. You can also, of course, donate directly as well.

This first week we’ll start off simply with a few fun questions.

What’s your favorite animal? Okay! My favorite animal is dogs, they're too pure and kind-hearted for this world and make me feel like I'm six, again, and playing outside in the dirt with my best friend on those afternoons when time didn't matter. I dream of having time to adopt one, one day. 

What’s your favorite movie? My favorite movie is Princess Mononoke. Is there anything you’d like people to know about you? As far as what I'd like people to know about me, I want to help make this world a better place. I want to pour my heart and soul into it and fight to help us lose these chains.  Uhhh also I absolutely adore swimming and miss it a whole whole lot and I'm scared of the ocean?

Just in time to create a little holiday magic, Ways2Raise was able to make their second donation to Rowan’s Top Surgery Fundraiser. With your help, we have successfully raised $1,500 for Rowan through the sales from our Out of This Binary t-shirts.

Currently we are out of stock of all sizes except X-Small, but we will be restocking about mid January and extending our sizes to include 2X-Small, 2X-Large, and 3X-Large. Our community comes in all kinds of beautiful shapes and sizes and, as a company by and for the community, we believe our clothes should reflect that.

We’re happy to be able to announce the official donation of $1,180 towards Rowan’s Campaign, and that’s all from pre-orders alone! Soon we’ll be able to put even more towards supporting Rowan when our store opens late this month/early December. You can find out a little more about it here.

Coming Up

We’’ll have some articles and materials coming out for Transgender Awareness Month soon, and be opening ourselves up to some follower submissions along those same lines. We’ll be including some content focusing on hypervisibility from the trans feminine parts of our team.
