"chrom.... really really likes you! and he respects you as the divine dragon!" cheeks flushed, for a moment veyle sits in silence breathing heavy. that should be enough to get alear to say something right?

".... okay, bye!" she runs off before alear can even ask for clarification.

"Oh, Veyle! I was looking for you-" Well, she doesn't even get to finish her sentence before she hears the declaration from her; it brings an expression of confusion that lingers before she lets out a laugh, a dismissive wave of her hand following. It's cute that her sister is so invested in their friendship, and honestly... she's a little thankful. "Pfft. Of course he likes me! We are friends...."

im the past, the fell princess would have spent her allowance on a little something in the village market for zephia’s birthday. a little trinket or a small piece of jewelry, something small and cute. various things that she’s sure now zephia would have thrown away by now.

zephia loathed her, and veyle should have hated her back. yet…

she couldn’t. staring at the door to zephia’s room, she clenches her fist. a visit to the market at the monastery produced nothing, for what present do you get a woman that despises you?

at the sound of footsteps, her body jolts and she quickly takes off before she can be fully seen and approached. she could not… would not be approached by anyone in this state of hers.

Zephia only catches the tail end of Veyle's hair as she runs away in her sight, the little fell dragon darting out of view before she can even utter a 'hello dear'.

She'd been watching her, or at least watching her door. Did she have something she wanted to say? Surely, if it was that important to her, she would have just come out and said it.

But... this Lady Veyle wasn't bold, now was she? Not in the way that the Lady Veyle Zephia preferred was.

Ah.

Had she meant to wish her a 'happy birthday'? How pointless.

(She doesn't admit to even herself that perhaps she would have liked that, if Veyle had meant it. If the little fell dragon had given her something to add to a small collection. Not that it was of any sentimental value to her at all.)
