In the 1993 movie The Fugitive, Sam Gerard (played by Tommy Lee Jones) is a champion of justice.

As a U.S. Marshal, however, he gets too keen in pursuing an innocent man (Dr Richard Kimble , played by Tom Hanks) who was framed for a murder.

The Fugitive received 7 Academy Award nominations, and Tommy Lee Jones received an award for Best Supporting Actor.
