"Pro" tip for fellow chronically ill small business people: Do what you can ahead of time to make things as easy as possible for yourself when you pack orders. For me this isn't too time-consuming, because I don't get a whole lot of orders, so I like to pack up 10 bubble mailers in advance with everything except the jewelry and box. They typically last me about 5 months before I have to do it again. I do recommend this if you can do it. Pack your mailers or boxes with business cards, your packing materials like bubble wrap or tissue paper, marketing materials (I have printed thank yous and business cards that I include), and any bonus gifts. Then when you are ready to ship an order all you have to do is add the items that were purchased, maybe wrap them up with bubble wrap and/or tissue paper, seal it, and print a shipping label. Another thing that I do to be ready for orders in advance is to stamp a bunch of kraft paper jewelry boxes with bees and then add washi tape, on days when I'm feeling up to doing just a little. Before I did these things ahead of time it sometimes took me a whole week to finish packing and shipping an order. Now I can do it in a day or two. It saves so much energy on days when I am packing orders. I hope this tip might help some of you in the future.
