Part 2: Amidst the chaos, we were still serving those in need whom were grateful, and the team were patiently trying to explain our intentions to them. We are not there in the name of #NDC or #NPP. We are from #ZeroHungerGhana and our reason for being there is because we want to #SupportTheVulnerable in these difficult times. A widow came out from the crowd and told them she knows me from an earlier #CommunityOutreach, she was one of the #Widows who came to spend the day with the #StreetKids, #Orphans, the #ZHG Team and myself and told them how it benefited all of them. That’s when they begun to loosen up, some apologised and asked that we come again. When we asked why they were behaving that way, in a summary they said: it is because THEY ONLY GET HELP FROM POLITICAL PARTIES WHO HELP THEM JUST TO WIN THEIR #VOTES AND ABANDON THEM AFTER. Their attitude could easily deter one from wanting to help them again but in these challenging times, we must remain #Ghanaians for #Ghana and not for #PoliticalParties. #HUMILITY and #HUMANITY is what needs to be #ENCOURAGED! And don’t say they made the choice. They have been manipulated by political parties all their lives and that is the #Life that they know. I must take this opportunity to also commend Former #PresidentOfGhana John Dramani Mahama for being one of the #Ghanaians for #Ghana in these times. He has shown a high level of maturity (#Wisdom) from his first instagram post on 16th March 2020 hash tagged #StopTheSpread to 25th March when he encouraged Ghanaians to join the #NationalDay of #Christians #PrayerAndFasting followed by one by the #Muslims. He has made #Donations, he has #Encouraged the #Nation. His acts I would say is #Supportive and it is the responsibility of every capable person to help where help is needed but Ghana as we know it, will make it #Political.
