°°°° THE HANGEE V °°°° One of the best Sardinian Surf Garage Punk band of the World! With black and white striped turtleneck sweaters, Vox and Mosrite guitars and sunglasses they absorp you in a timewarp to the garage-carnaval of the mid 60s. In their repertoire garage-punk surf fuzz-buzz with organ takes turns with reverb drenched surf instrumentals. From Cagliari, south coast of Sardinia, Italy, the Hangee V started out in 2003 as a five piece band (hence their name) with the stated purpose to playin their favourite music, sixties garage punk and obscure instrumental surf. In these years they had a lot of gigs everywhere in Italy from Palermo to Bolzano and many european cities like Madrid, Valencia, Rotterdam, Stockholm, Dublin, London, Bruxelles, Vienna, Monaco, and many more! Hit many clubs and festivals like Festival Beat ,Teenage Attack, Booze Party, Surferjoe Summer, Go Sinner Go, Primitive Festival, Prickly Peabowls, Blast from the Past, Sauzipf, Beat Convention and some more. After several changes in the lineup nowadays they are 4: Pigi, voice and guitar, Marcello bass guitar, Alessandra on drums, and Giuseppe on piano/organ. They put up 2 lps for the label For Monsters Records (S/T and Unpleasantly Yours), a 7'' on Groovie Rcs, another 7" wiith Surfin Ki label along with Angry Breeds, plus they joined to compilations like Lost in Tyme, Misty Lane and Kreepsville's, Sazanami Beat etc... At the end of may 2016 came out the third lp, Underwater Serenades, for the label Teen Sound Records.
