Better late than never, I wanted to post the coord I wore for the Symphony of Roses tea party in Vienna back in June!

It was my first time visiting Austria, I was very surprised to see how similar yet different it was from my Paris. The city is gorgeous and charged with history so lots of places to visit!

The tea party itself was also huge as it took place in one of those very monuments: the Rathaus! It was very impressive to see so many more experienced lolitas that I sometimes could even recognize from blogs or online platforms.

In particular we could meet RinRin, Iris and Nunu from Iris Garden and Haenuli who were the special guests!

Among all the memories I made there is one in particular : Nunu chose me as best dresser along with two other attendees!! And we all had our our portrait drawn by her in person!!

Needingless to say this trip will stay for long in my heart :)

This coord is even older, it's from October 2019 at the very first Kei-con in Toronto ❤️

This coord is really special to me because while I had a few pieces before this and I wore "lolita" (using that loosely cus my coords were awful quality lol) 2019 was when I really took a serious leap into building my wardrobe and these were my first quality photos of a coord! As you can tell I was very nervous and bad at posing.

Thanks to firemate (he doesn't seem to use his tumblr, so I didn't tag for his privacy, you can find him on instagram under that name) for these photos way back when.

Day 26 - What are your favorite brands?

Mary Magdalene! I can't fit into a lot of their pieces, but their style is right up my ally. For me, they're the face of classic lolita. I really enjoy the hourglass shape their pieces give the wearer. I think it really matches their brand concept. Prices for them have gotten crazy and I can't really imagine spending that much money on their items now that they're back in operation.

I also really like Baby the Stars Shine Bright. I wouldn't consider myself a sweet lolita, but I love a lot of their designs. Especially their solid ones and the ones based on old school lolita.

Flower Leno JSK

For indie brands, I love Sleepyland a lot. I don't have the wardrobe for it but it's such a cute, innovative brand. To me, it encapsulates 2010s ott sweet lolita perfectly. I also really like Infanta and Surface Spell. I really like Infanta's fairy tale themed JSKs. I sold mine since they were too small, but I'm keeping my eye out for a larger size on the secondhand market.

Bridgerton Experience outfit - a loosely regency inspired silhouette with prom sensibilities. I made the overdress extremely last minute, as I felt my outfit needed something. It's loosely (loosely!) based off of the open-front c.1795 dress from Patterns of Fashion, but overall isn't made too well and is essentially safety-pinned to my body. I used almost entirely materials that I already had (excepting the neck trim) due to it being last-minute, and since Bridgerton loves its sparkles, I picked a striped chiffon with silver glittery threads running through it as the main material - this ended up being a pain since chiffon is always a pain, but at least I ended up with something wearable? The tiara felt weird to pair since I think it's the biggest departure from historical, but it is Bridgerton, after all. Everyone was dressed up like royalty and/or prom, with tiaras of their own, so why not?

~Rose garden~

My new Tiny Garden Waltz dress from @devilinspiredofficial​ has an amazing dusty pink color. I have a long version made of dense velvet, this fabric looks especially noble and expensive. The dress is quite heavy, but it looks great! For a walk in the garden, I decided to complete my look with a lace cape by Surface Spell and socks by Lucky Star. And this сhoker by SweetDreamer with pink ribbon fits just perfectly. Thank you again for the beautiful things and great quality!

You should take a look at devilinspired.com I’m thinking about ordering some kawaii/harajuku fashion stuff next time.
