Similarities between female sharpies and other subculture where women were prominent/ had their own unique styles etc.

Sharpies and flappers:

1. Female sharpies especially in the 60s had short hair which was mainly similar to that of the flappers.

2. Both female sharpies and flappers wore dresses though there were some sharpies who wore jeans or other types of pants and shirts.

3. Probably never interacted with each other, unless someone’s grandma was a flapper idk.

Sharpies and mods:

Both sharpies and mods were rivals though they were quite similar in the sixties with music (though some sources say otherwise), and the girls had similar tastes in style eg: short hair, shortish skirts (mods had mini skirts while sharpies had woollen skirts that I guess could be considered mini skirts), both wore tights especially in the colder weather but that’s where the similarities in fashion end. Both hate rockers.

Sharpies and rockers:

Both wear sort of woollen like dresses or skirts, similar music taste but not really, the rockers didn’t really interact with the sharpies much also both hated mods and skegs / surfies.

Scripps/the Shores was a bit closed out but a fun semi-glassy three-foot, with some head-high sets, and I surfed for an hour starting at noon. The water was so exceptionally warm. It almost felt like the tropics honestly. I haven't worn a wetsuit in months, and yet I still see guys out there on longboards wearing a spring suit and full sleeves.
