Update

Hey guys, well on the 8th I’ll be finding out if I can go back home it’s been a long process but I’m healing up a lot faster then expected. I just wanted to keep you all informed, because I promised a few people I would. Since this surgery, my moods change a lot I’ve felt more confident these past few days despite making some old woman angry in the store for walking so slow.

Surgery update!

So I'm 13 days away from getting a phone call from the clinic handling my surgeries. Yay! They're going to call me and book an appointment with me for a general look over and consultation, all that fun stuff. Then I'm on another waiting list for a psychological evaluation to prove that this is actually something I want (so the government'll pay for it). Slow but steady progress, super excited.

I'll be posting an update on my voice & recovery progress soon! Thank you so much to everyone who's been checking in on me since my vocal fold surgery & asking how I've been doing! Means so so much you guys! Short answer? Slow & steady wins the race & I'm doing well! Patience & hard work with vocal therapy & voice coaching is starting to finally pay off! I filmed a new #MerMail vid a week ago (first time talking/filming on camera since the surgery back in December!!) so I'm editing that now, and in it I share a bit about where I'm at. I'll let you know when that goes up next week! 🎶✌🏼️ ⠀ .⠀ Sending out prayers, love & HOPE to everyone out there in IG-land struggling with any health issues. It may seem hopeless, but I have 3 words for you. And I mean them with all my heart. Never.Give.Up. YOU are special. YOU are unique. YOU are created with a purpose and I believe God does not give us anything we cannot handle, and does not allow any suffering to go by unseen or unacknowledged. You are not alone, and through this you may feel weaker than ever but if you don't lose hope you are getting stronger every day, and prepared to make a difference in this world and help others in ways you never would have been able to before. If you think your pain and suffering is more than you can handle, that means that you are soooo much stronger than you think, and you CAN beat this. In addition to my lifelong vocal polyp/s, I have a chronic disease and chronic pain that (unless the Lord chooses to miraculously heal me of) I will never be cured of and will probably never see a day go by that I don't feel a measure of that pain. But that doesn't mean I can't accomplish every single dream and every single goal He puts on my heart. Because I can. And you can do the same. Be patient with yourself, take care of yourself, and feed your soul with inspiration and God's truth, and you can do things beyond what you can even imagine. @thatcaptjim needed some stealth jammies so we could drive to the doctor and back to get his stitches out... I think he found the perfect pair. The nurses went nuts that these are actually super soft and stretchy jammies/lounger pants... lol!! Also, he is healing GREAT and everything is looking good. Good Morning from the zoom into town- going to fetch some medicine and basic groceries for the hubster. Changed his bandages this morning and it's looking good. He kept his pain control on schedule last night, which is good, cause I was out cold. (Dies) alarms are your friend. :P grateful for a nice day and the help of friends so I can gas up the van and snag a breakfast too without worrying about the bills this week. Jim is HOME!! Yaaaayyyy!! I got medicine in him and food even! Now to get him to sleep... I was pondering what pic to post with this happy update, and he said, "Take a picture of the light fixture. Oh gods I wish I could roll onto my side to sleep... this... is tragedy." LOL. I told'ya'all he was salty! He's staring at this view, complaining, which means he is alive and well.
