i think ajax treating [name] like... a normal teenager would be so important to them. they'd hate it at first, actually, because they were raised to just believe that they weren't. because they aren't. they're pantalone's fucking flesh and blood, the flesh and blood of the single richest and possibly most politically influential man in teyvat—of course they aren't normal; a good chunk of people want them dead, and another chunk wants to be in their favor. it's exhausting, but the truth is that they just aren't normal.
does ajax care?
absolutely the hell not.
and they would hate that at first, but they'd slowly become very fond of it, because... fuck. you know? like, there's actually someone who just sees them... as a teenager? there's someone who sees them as some kid from snezhnaya? and that's it?
ajax would teach them all the little things his parents taught him growing up—ice fishing, cooking, and hunting... although, they aren't quite strong enough to handle the last one. they tried, though, and ajax is very proud that they did!
he spoils them like he spoils his own siblings but honestly, they really don't care much for that behavior. what they care about is the fact that he sees them, which is unfortunately something that even their own father may struggle with sometimes.
(in his desperate attempts to ensure that they will never have to experience poverty like he did, he has a tendency to overlook their emotional needs. he makes up for it, though! usually. usually.
when he doesn't, it stings. and they remember it. they remember every single time it has ever happened.

ajax is literally just the chill older brother that they need sometimes. and it's cute.
i don't know, i think [name] needs to be treated like any other teen every now and then, and ajax is the perfect one to do it.
