last week the blue moon landed on my birthday for only the second time in my life. so much that happened between those two birthdays was an unwinding of everything that came before, and a lot of that hurt, it really hurt, but now i feel strangely untouchable. i may get one more blue moon birthday in nineteen years. i can't wait to see what this new era brings

Part One:
Braghaman had just finished putting the dishes away from breakfast when he heard a knock on the front door. Glancing towards the living room, he spied his son playing with his building blocks and toy soldiers on the floor. Tossing his hand towel over his shoulder, the paladin made his way to the front door. Opening it a crack to look outside, he saw a priest standing outside.
“Brother Larethian?”
“Yes,” Brahgaman frowned as he answered. He’d given up on trying to get them to stop calling him “brother”.
