here's the official first preview of the Survive DC documentary from last year's event! i'm not in it, but some of my teammates are (the shirtless guy with blue body paint).

this year's event is May 31st, and the after-party will have a full 8 minute trailer and (hopefully) a release date!

I spent most of my run today going over the things I need to bring for Survive DC, which is now a mere 2 weeks away. The list is actually longer than you'd think, but only because I don't actually bring my entire wallet. ID, debit card, $30 cash, cell phone, iPod (only because I have a dumb phone and can't use the Internet otherwise), pen, SmartTrip card, car key (but not the whole fob), watch, bandaids, advil, plastic baggie in case it rains, if possible a protein bar, maybe a water bottle but I'd have to carry the thing in my hand. And then I have to make sure I turn on mobile alerts for the official twitter feed and the good player fairy, and eat a huge dinner right before, and actually charge my phone completely. Also leave some arnica in the car for after to try and mitigate the inevitable sore muscles.
