another day, another long slog. between the piles of paperwork, client meetings, and barely veiled sexist comments from that one particular coworker, stephanie was absolutely exhausted. it had quickly turned into one of those days where she pondered if she'd made the right career choice for herself or if she'd simply made one long M I S T A K E in a series of ever evolving mistakes. even taking herself out to lunch at her favorite sushi restaurant hadn't helped matters. a part of her wondered if maybe she was overdue for a vacation, perhaps to a more tropical place. all thoughts of vacation were put to an end when she rounded the corner and found herself staring at one dewey riley sitting in her office's waiting room. stephanie paused for only the briefest of moments before stepping forward and offering her hand to him. "of all the things that i expected when i came back to my office, finding myself face to face with sheriff dewey riley wasn't one of them." her tone was casual, but not exactly the warmest. she was curious as to W H Y he was there, but kind of distrustful at the same time. "it's still sheriff, right? i haven't really been paying attention to the news coming out of woodsboro lately." she unlocked her office and opened the door, motioning for him to step in so that they could talk privately. "what brings you to my doorstep? surely, you're not in need of a lawyer, are you?"
