How do you handle feeling discouraged by a performance you should be proud of? . . It was all fun times at the start of the #Susco8k this morning with @gcrouson!! But it was not my day to race. My legs cramped up almost immediately after the start and every step felt forced. It wasn’t like “dead legs from training” - it was just my body saying “not today”. . . I actually only ran about 1:25 over my time from last year, and even if I ran even to last year, my place would have stayed the same, so I have to remember that one “bad” (and it wasn’t even bad) Run doesn’t mean ANYTHING! . . Long run tomorrow as I head into my last hard week of training for the #chicagomarathon!
