It's a collection of 3 short stories set after Penny Blood's main campaign.
"Hide Seekers part 1" Matthew and Emilia track Jack the Ripper in 1926 Whitechapel. Matthew is different from what I thought he'd be like. Plus I like that Emilia's mom is the first Matthew/Emilia shipper.
"The Vessel of Summoners part 1" covers two twins who work for the Japanese government supernatural divisions. Probably the longest of the three sections but probably the one that is hit or miss. I didn't hate it or love it.
The twins are the biggest connections to Shadow Hearts.
Suseri makes an appearance and we learn about her family life.
"Erebus part 1" focuses on an Bureau of Investigation agent Alaska Davidson looking into missing children in the Roaring Twenties era NY. She faces opposition from the local police and another BOI agent who is suspicious.
Roxanne, Candy and Vito make an appearance but Roxanne gets the bulk of the screen time. She and Alaska have a classic buddy cop dynamic and it's fun to read.
It's a solid set of stories and I'm looking forward to seeing more Penny Blood content in the future.
