Sushi donuts are a fun take on traditional sushi rolls because they have the tastes of sushi and the shape of a donut. They are both beautiful to look at and delicious, so your guests will be blown away.
Ingredients: 2 cups sushi rice. 4 nori sheets. 1 avocado, thinly sliced. 1 cucumber, thinly sliced. 4 ounces sashimi-grade salmon. 4 ounces sashimi-grade tuna. Pickled ginger, for serving. Wasabi, for serving. Soy sauce, for serving.
Instructions: Cook sushi rice according to package instructions. Place nori sheets on a clean surface. Spread cooked sushi rice evenly over the nori sheets. Layer avocado, cucumber, salmon, and tuna slices on top of the rice. Carefully roll each nori sheet into a tight cylinder. Cut each cylinder into 1-inch thick slices. Arrange the slices in a circle, overlapping slightly to form a donut shape. Serve with pickled ginger, wasabi, and soy sauce.
