I heard about suttard, katadena and jane/ryan for like forever and I know they'll be my ships the first two already are and I just met ryan I know I'll ship them hard I wish they were endgame ugh at least the other two were but ugh but I'm really loving it so far and sorry for all the gifsets I'll be reblogging of the show btw lmao I won't do it all at once though lol and I loooooove all three girls so much so far but I think sutton will be my favorite!!!
THE BOLD TYPE Season 5, Episode 6: I Expect You To Have Adventures
The bold type is really the only show that fucks up the gay ship and the straight ships. This show is determined to make everyone miserable I love it
I am so grateful for the conversation that Oliver had with Sutton in this episode. Finally someone made her open her eyes about her drinking problem. The only regret that I have it’s that there’s so little time left, that everything is going to feel rush. But at least we get to see the storyline that a lot of us was expecting: Sutton in therapy.
I am really looking forward to Richard coming back in episode 5. I don’t think that we’ll get a happy ending because there’re a lot of issues to resolve but at least they will have a proper conversation.
Thought on the bold type finale I wrote when I should have been sleeping.
Not me refusing to write about the bold type series finale for over 2 weeks. I guess it's hard to say anything because I'm sad about it ending and so disappointed in some of the choices they made. Both in the truncated previous season and this final tiny season.
Kat being the new Jacqueline makes literally no sense and came completely out of left field. I am very happy she ended up with Adena but that was also rushed I can look passed it because they have history that goes back several seasons.
Jane just deciding she doesn't actually want to be Jacqueline was one of the better endings tbh. She struggled, very obviously with trying to be Jacqueline and with living up to the idea of a legend or whatever. In the end it wasn't her and it made sense I think. But my god then making her the next Jac didn't make any fucking sense nevermind giving the job to Kat. They're all too young. my feelings on her leaving are mixed, while in understand her needing to move on it sucks to have such a bittersweet ending with the girls splitting up and not all at Scarlet together like in the beginning. I wanted it to full circle
The Sutton and Richard nonsense was just that, nonesense. Richard just giving up on being a father for Sutton after he served her with divorce papers and started the adoption process? Nonsensical. It was a last second rewrite and in the end they should have left well enough alone. Sutton and Richard spent the entire show being in different places in their relationship. You could blame it on the age gap but I don't even think that was it. They just wanted different things and their desires were pulling them in different directions and yet Richard kept compromising bits of himself over and over for Sutton. Every time she'd make a decision he would fall over himself to accomodate her. I just think giving up fatherhood would be a bridge too far and it would have lead to some real growth for Sutton. She could have found a nice childfree guy who shared more of her interests in the future. Or explored her obvious bi curiousity. Anything besides going back to a diminished version of the man she claimed to love. I love Sutton but I hate a lot of what they did to her character towards the end.
Honestly despite the wheels falling off somewhere back in season 4 I will miss the show because of the insane chemistry the cast had and the amazing portrayal of female friendship. They barely argued and always gave each other exactly what they needed. You don't see friendships like that on tv too often. I loved all the characters and I'll miss them like friends.
tbt ship icons! [like or reblog if you save💗]
all i wanna say is i got the real thing, and nothing else matters, i love you like that
