"if that's your type, i am so sorry to hear that," he partially joked, although it was definitely one of those self-deprecating types of jokes as well; sutter was a master at those. but it seemed like lola was being genuine, and sutter couldn't possibly complain about that. he felt pretty lucky that she even showed any type of remote interest in him when she could probably find much better. "i'll cheers to that," he raised his glass of soda, only to chuckle quietly after realizing it would probably make more sense to do so with an alcoholic beverage. "...really? i mean, obviously, i'm flattered." he was unsure of what to say, especially because he wasn't complimented like this much. once hearing her question, he could already hear himself tripping up on his words. "i mean---truthfully, you were the first girl i had seen come into the store. well, maybe not first, but at least the first one i really noticed..." he trailed off, clearing his throat awkwardly. "honestly, my first impression was wondering if you were lost. not that pretty girls can't be into comic books or anything, but..." he realized he needed to just quiet down for a moment, finally leaning forward to take another sip of his drink. / @silkchvffon
