DWTS: Season 20 Week 5 - Disney Week
Best opening number in weeks and weeks maybe even seasons! It was adorable!
Suzanne & Tony - Jazz - She was doing so well until her heel got caught. It was her best dance up until the hiccup with the heel. And it’s sad that happened the week she was so down on herself. 7,7,7,7 = 28
Kym & Robert - Quickstep - Great production and concept but this was probably Robert’s worse dance. He was really off time in the beginning and got a little better as it went on. The performance part of the dance was really there but he really got off on the wrong foot. 6,6,6,6 = 24
Patti & Artem - Waltz - She just makes me smile when she dances because she is really enjoying it. It was a very simple dance but every beautiful. She has a great presence and she just lights up the ballroom. 7,6,7,7 = 27
Willow & Mark - Foxtrot - Amazing production and performance! I agreed mostly with Julianne and Bruno. She did a beautiful job and just needs to extend through her movements. 8,8,9,9 = 34
Chris & Witney - Quickstep - Chris needs to have more fun and get out of his own head but it seems like he doesn’t want to be here at all. He has potential but he needs to give into the music and the fun, but I feel like I’ve been saying this for 5 weeks now. This was definitely one of his better dances. 7,6,7,7 = 27
Noah & Sharna - Foxtrot - I felt like I was watching a live version of Aladdin. Noah’s frame was great. He definitely puts his everything into the dances and Sharna does a great job. 7,7,7, 7 = 28
Riker & Allison - Paso Doble - Probably Riker’s best dance to date but there were times I thought his arms could have been stronger throughout the movement. He was a bit weak in that spin move and almost fell over on Allison. This was definitely an amazing performance. 10,9,9, 10 = 38
Rumer & Val - Samba - Definitely a very fun dance. I like that she went villain and not princess for this dance. Great performance and production. She is definitely one of the best dancers this year. I enjoy watching her also because she seems to really enjoy the process and dancing. 10,9,10,10 = 39
Nastia & Derek - Jazz - This is my favorite performance of Nastia’s because she actually seemed into it and had fun and showed emotion. she always gets the steps. I thought they might not have been in sync with some arm movements. I don’t get why the lip syncing was a big deal to CAI when Rumer and Val did it too. 9, 9, 10, 10 = 38
Throughout the night we learned that Chris/Witney, Patti/Artem and Suzanne/Tony were in jeopardy. Patti is told she’s safe first and we are left with Chris and Suzanne who are not necessarily the bottom 2. Suzanne is eliminated on a week when she had a great dance but had felt down and weak during the week and wanted to throw in the towel. I think it was right for her to go now. She was a better dancer than Chris but she seemed tired. Let me know you guys thought about Disney night!
