JOKE-OGRAPHY:

In this Bible story (Luke 18:1-8), Jesus tells a parable about an unjust judge "who neither fears God (as in "obeys God's laws") nor respects any human being (as in "practices basic decency toward others")." In the story, the judge refuses to render a just judgment for a poor widow, so the widow harasses him until he finally announces, "While it is true that I neither fear God nor respect any human being (bold start), because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see she gets her justice, lest she come and strike me in the eye." Jesus tells this parable to illustrate the need for persistence in prayer. If an unjust human judge does right by the one who prays consistently, how much more so would the perfect infinite Judge of the universe do right by us when we bring our prayers before Him?

In this cartoon, two characters listen to the above parable being read at Mass: Emo Emi (a recurring character with a reputation for being flippant about faith) and her faithful, unnamed mother. At the introduction of the comically godless judge, Emi's mother leans to Emi and accuses her of copying the judge's inconsiderate personality. Emi "har hars" sarcastically in response.

Yeah, it's a short comic. So what? Ya gonna sue me? Ya gonna send a guy flying just 'cause his week got a little overbooked? Ya gonna call a guy out just for phoning it in? Ya gonna throw shade at a guy already caught in the dark? I'm just a man. I'm just an ordinary man.

r/suzerain is doing my fucking head in with the hatred for Monica

they got a well fleshed out character who's supportive and in love with the main character AND has her own interests. her crime is divorcing Anton when you turn into an absolute misogynistic family hating dickhead

like, let's reiterate, she doesn't divorce you out of nowhere, you need to be undermining and belittling her at every step and actively work to the detriment of the causes she cares for. which, by the way, she has every right to care for because she's the actual First Lady and that's not just a title!

to be clear, I did multiple runs of Sordland where my only antifamily decisions were 1) sacrifice family time for work in the prologue 2) not sign the WLA (for budget reasons, not ideology reasons) and she does not divorce me because outside of that, you get a ton of opportunities to be not-a-dick. even with the Benfi speech, you can double cross her to get Gloria's votes and then still resolve it diplomatically to have Monica and Cuntan Curtain Curtan Leste happy

again, this is a game where diplomacy is key, you're telling me you can be diplomatic with traitors, murderers, dictators and evil monarchs but not with your own wife?

god forbid a woman chooses the wellbeing of herself and the family in a game where you can literally dissolve people in acid and cause a nuclear war

My interpretation of some of the known flags of Revachol!

The suzerain flag is largely based on the one in Gary's apartment, though it always bothered me how it describes six additional smaller suns orbiting the main sun, yet the in-game visual only shows a red halo. The commune flag is based on the collage mode secret picture depicting its formation. The Zone of Control flag is based on the Control Commision for Germany from '45-'49 The symbol of the Moralintern is said to be a signal blue forget-me-not
