people justifying the romanovs is extremely funny. do you know what happens when you leave monarchs, power hungry elites, alive? they get restored! look at the bourbon dynasty after napoleon, charles ii. if there were claimants to the left monarchists would restore them and destroy any progress. all of them were full blown loyalists who actively did not want positive change in Russia, especially reflected by how authoritarian the tsar was over the duma, often dismissing them. i don't see the argument for the sisters being innocent too, seeing they were very well educated royals who definitely knew about politics. and I don't see many grieve the multiple people of russia many teenagers who died in the war russia had NOTHING to do with except stroke the king's ego, the starving workers and their children. the bolsheviks didn't just cackle and go 'yay time to murder children and the rich!!!' this was a tragic but extremely crucial decision that contributed to the ussr."
