Cute story I was told yesterday (from one of my parents’ friend’s life) that’s been on my mind.

Guy has been going to a diner with his coworker a lot during lunch break while they work on this one project together. The same waitress always happens to be there at lunchtime on weekdays.

One day the waitress called the coworker “Sunshine” while taking his order. So the guy says “If you had to work with [Coworker] you wouldn’t be calling him Sunshine”

So the waitress turns to him and says “Well I didn’t ask *you* Cloudy Day”

And from then on, every time they would go there she would greet them all cheerfully “Welcome to [Diner Name] Sunshine” then drop her tone to practically a groan “and Cloudy Day”

And I can’t help but feel this is Zukka coded. Maybe even Suzukka coded if you want Suki as the waitress. But the real question is, which one of them is nicknamed “Sunshine” and which one is “Cloudy Day”?

Summary:

[It hadn’t even seemed like a good idea at the time, so why Suki has come here, she’s got no idea. Zuko wasn’t even especially convincing, he was just very sincere and, well she has to admit she’s a little curious.

In the past she had rarely taken an interest in the other people her partners dated, but she was curious to know Zuko’s type. After all, she knew herself, and that was one point towards Zuko having good taste, even if little else pointed in his favour.]
