It is tolerable on beaches, where one can reasonably expect it, and perhaps even wash it away with a quick dip. Not that I am a particularly good swimmer, but the option being open to me is not exactly a deterrent. And at least when wet sand gets stuck, that's quite understandable.
Route 4 has been nothing but sand and concrete, with no (potable) water to speak of aside from fountains that are not used for that purpose. There are modern additions here, perhaps meant to be an extension of Castelia, but the route is still mostly sand and miserably gritty winds that I have been quite fortunate to have flown past on my way into the city beforehand. There are Sandile, which are nice, and Minccino who have offered to help us tidy up--I personally was grateful for it but Chevalier and Pallas are far too ticklish for such a thing.
We are on Join Avenue now, on our way into Nimbasa City.
[Image ID: A long, long plaza, identified as Join Avenue, with many shops and facilities lining either side of the road into the city. You can see Cooper and Pallas perusing the wares at a store in the near distance, but assuming that the person taking the photo is at one end of the plaza...]
This seems frankly quite unnecessary.
... on an unrelated note...I think I'll ask Chevalier to hold off on sending that picture of a baseball game to Persephone. Now is not the time for it for her. Just as now is hardly the time for souvenirs...
