Freedoms Passover aka Bambi had her very first ride today 🥳 Bambi has been in training and working super on the lunge line at SVE for a few months now on a three day per week schedule to get her mentally and physically ready for having a rider in the tack. Finished the weekend with Donte on a fantastic note. Schooled over most if not all of the training/modified questions and got some good tips to help us succeed while on course at the event! Thanks so much to Manuela (and all of the other trainers!) for donating her time and training advice and being flexible with the weather postponements. Bambi is looking great and getting the hang of this whole being in training thing! 🐎🐎🐎 With just turning 3 and wanting her to have a long (sound) career under saddle, she’s being started carefully on the lunge with properly adjusted side reins to develop her topline and understanding how to move in all three gaits. "No Stirrup November" exercises to do year round

The hype of taking off stirrups during the month of November to help improve a riders seat has come to an end for another year. How much that work actually benefited both horse and rider is hard to say depending on what they practiced, but now is the perfect time to expand on that interest on improving the riders seat while also helping the horse.
