Another Saginaw mural

I had seen a couple of pictures of this but did not know where it was located. I found it!

As near as I can figure, Cardinal Square is a general area surrounding Saginaw Valley State University. The mascot for the college sports teams is the Cardinal. This mural is very well done and is located about a half mile south of the main entrance to the campus.

This is what the main entrance looks like. I photographed some other mural work in Saginaw and posted it here two years ago and last year.

I will have to do some more looking around. There might be more artwork in Saginaw to be seen. 😃

I've done some stupid bad things in my life. I don't regret almost any of them. Mostly because I learned not to make worse ones later on. And Kinder actions in the future. However one thing I will always regret my entire life is going to get my bachelor's degree. I don't regret getting my associates. I learned a lot actually getting my associates. I learned nothing of fucking real world value, let alone real theater value, getting my Bachelor's degree. Nothing I couldn't read from a book or online. I'm still like 22,000 in federal debt because they made it a law just after I graduated or just before that it's illegal to declare bankruptcy on student loans. Because why? Seriously why? Out of all the debts out there, would that not seem the most logical to forgive? So they don't start off burdened with debt before they even get a job that this college degree was to bump them up to? Cuz I can tell you this. Swear to god. I have only gotten one extra interview due to my degree. I have never once got a job due to my degree. And I remember the pressure from my counselors, teachers, and parents how college would basically guarantee me a great paying job. Lol. I should have known not to get the degree because I never wanted to get the degree. And even looking back, if I could go back, I'd probably go either philosophy or psychology. Probably philosophy with a minor in psychology. Yes it is a useless degree, but I think I would have learned a lot more fucking going for that than the goddamn history of theater that nobody gives a fuck about. 2 god damn semesters! Only because Saginaw Valley State University could, they also added new credit demands just before I graduated so I had to get more classes. Did those credits help me in any way whatsoever? Absolutely fucking not. Fuck college. The only degrees worthwhile (for real jobs, not just fun) in college are technological, health, and maybe engineering. Every other subject you can either learn in a trade school or fucking go online. Seriously people don't realize that the reason College existed is because only a select few knew this fucking knowledge and could teach it. Now we have the internet. College is God damn Irrelevant for the most part. Except for really specific jobs.

IMO, colleges are basically irrelevant now. They charge insane prices that go into empty buildings & school sports. Anything they can teach can be found online. College is only good for health, sciences, and tech. And ONLY for the resources/experiences you can only get in person. Think. Colleges EXIST cuz back in the day, few people had knowledge/experiences/expertise, & you funneled that information out in large crowds to spread it. But now w/the internet, not only is nearly ALL information at your finger tips, but, you can video chat the experts!

The thing I love is when Saginaw Valley State University sends me a magazine semi-regularly showing how good SOME people with a college degree are doing except for me. I also love that they charged me an arm and a leg for me to be in debt for life and all I ever saw for it was them building a bunch of buildings that were always constantly empty and rarely used. You never found it odd at every single fucking College in the fucking country that most of the rooms were not used ever? Or at least at the same time? They built them to look like they spent your money. And don't forget pay the football coach a stupid amount of money to do a completely fucking meaningless job. go College! I say it all the time and it's the truth. I have done and said a lot of things that I don't look good for, but I don't regret because I learned from them. I regret College. I fucking regret Saginaw Valley State University so much that it would happily sell my degree for pennies on the dollar at this point. Not like it would get me out of the Debt it put me in. Isn't it funny that if you take out a loan for a house or a car, you can return them for a certain amount back but not a college degree? That sounds like a pyramid scheme. Or a con at least. My college degree has literally never once in my entire life since I got it in 2008 helped me ever in anything. Don't go to college unless you're guaranteed something for it. We were told there were guarantees, but we were also lied to about every other fucking thing in our lives. Why don't colleges have to prove their tuition costs and the credits and job opportunities in the market when you graduate? Shouldn't they have to prove their worth? So question everything. You do not live in the world your parents grew up in. And your kids won't live in the world you grew up in. Adapt.

Nobody tells you there's pointless degrees. And there's more pointless degrees than helpful ones. If you want my advice I'd say go into Health, Sciences, or Technologies. Any other degree is completely useless in this world now.

Two women charged in SVSU sorority hazing probe

Prosecutors and police have shared few details on what happened during the alleged hazing.

It appears the school was not notified until the end of April when the school gave the sorority Delta Sigma Theta a cease and desist order, meaning all activities are suspended for now. Student Affairs at SVSU began its own investigation and the Saginaw Valley State University Police Department conducted one as well, which resulted in the Saginaw County prosecutor’s office authorizing hazing causing injury and assault and battery charges on two people, 21-year-old Renee McKinnie and 25-year-old Briana Wright.
