“One. Just one.”
You shook your head no, relieving a sigh before snuggling closer (if it was even possible) to your boyfriend.
You could hear him let out a small disappointed sigh, wrapping his long limbs around your middle as you both lay in bed of your home.
He had sneaked a few hours out of his busy schedule to come and visit you after you insisted on him that you’re fine, it’s just a seasonal change flu and that he doesn’t have to worry about it, but him being him… well. As to his own words, “i had to make sure with my own pair of eyes that you are okay.”
So there he was, cuddling you and your cold. Yet still nagging your ears off for a one tiny soft kiss. Because he misses you and that you’re sick so to him, a kiss could seal the deal. Because you are sick. Trying to reassure you for countless of times that he would not catch the flu from it. Best of luck.
You rested your head on his chest, feeling the warmth of both of your bodies held close like your lives depended on it. He nuzzled his nose on top of your head before planting a kiss on your forehead. He hung his face lower to give your red nose the same affection before whispering “get well soon baby, i miss kissing you.”
You smiled into his shirt, blinking a few times before landing a smack on his chest as your last warning.
underground fighter!wonwoo. tw // violence, blood, kiss
“No!” I screamed, the audience’s cheering loud enough to gulp it down. His opponent was at least a head taller than him, and I gulped for a countless time when Wonwoo held his bloody fists up to continue the round again.
“Kevin! Kevin! Kevin!” Was cheered around the large basement, big enough to hold an underground match at least twice a week.
Wonwoo took a few steps back, Kevin swung, and Wonwoo dodged to the right. Kevin swung again letting Wonwoo duck this time and sidestepped to the other side.
“I can’t do this,” I whispered, inhaling deeply, having to watch my own love, bleeding to death by a guy twice his size and all muscle, looking like he was injected with testosterone.
Wonwoo’s not exactly on the smaller side, judging from his broad shoulders and tall figure yet he’s fast with his movements. I shut my eyes for a few seconds, when I opened it again Wonwoo was landing a punch to Kevin’s nose, and the volume in the basement was deafening by then.
Wonwoo sank a left hook into Kevin’s jaw, on reflex my hand flew over my mouth when Kevin tempted a few more punches into the air. Kevin fell against his entourage when Wonwoo elbowed him in the face. Kevin came out swinging again, throw after throw he couldn’t keep up just when I thought it was over. Wonwoo went in for the kill when one punch was missed by Kevin, slamming his hand into the cement pillar.
Wonwoo brought his knee to Kevin’s face and then pummel him over and over until Kevin stumbled before hitting the ground. He did it so relentlessly leaving Kevin’s bloodied face be the proof of his win tonight, the crowd who were cheering for Kevin now cheered for Wonwoo as he disappeared behind the gathered fans.
“Babe? Babe!” Wonwoo called from the darkness behind the wall I stood by watching his victory. His face blunt filled with a few bruises and red marks. I rushed to his embrace, holding his face tenderly, observing the newly made wounds on his gorgeous face.
“I’m fine, please don’t cry…” He tried reassuring my worries.
“I can’t,” I shook my head trying to not let the tears fall. “I can’t watch you get beat up anymore, not tomorrow not next week, not ever again, please..”
“I won,” he smiled, hands on both sides of my hips. I sucked in a sigh, “I know but I can’t.”
“I told Tyler that I’m done after tonight,” He confessed, still smiling, loving the way I get very worried every damn time.
“You- you what?” I asked, tilting my head, surprised and confusion took over me.
“Yeah, I told him I can’t keep seeing my girl flinch every time someone missed a swing at me thinking I’ll get jabbed, makes me lose my focus.” He smirked, satisfied with the shy smile curving up from the ends of my lips.
I gave him a quick peck on the cheek before pushing him a little, getting a heartedly laughter coming from him. He took my hand and intertwined them, walking both of us out of the basement, to his black Harley, which was my ride for the night back to our shared apartment.

Wonwoo stared at the steel wired telephone, feeling the cold breezed through his leather jacket, the same type of cold her shoulder gave him two nights ago when they last met.
“I’m sorry, that’s all I could say.” He broke the silence, stopping her tracks though her back was still facing him.
She didn’t turn around. Her long black hair was then dyed into ash brown, her locks framing her face to make into bangs that made her unrecognisable at first glance—but not to him.
He saw her took a deep breath before she shifted her heels to step forward, then another, and another. Every step bringing her further from him, leaving him behind, as her past.
What he didn’t know was, how tears started streaming down her cheeks continuously as she continued to walk away from him.
No one seemed to realise that she was crying her way through her heart. He was someone she loved—hell, love, still. The miracle move on drugs weren’t doing their magic the second his eyes locked into hers for a split second before she walked past him earlier.
Wonwoo stood still where he was, hearing ablaze silence of “I love you, it’s ruining my life.” Screamed at him all over again, exactly like the first night he didn’t expect her to confess.
She had her things packed and ready to live up to their better expectations than his empty promises and quiet treasons.
For a fortnight there, they were together forever—better in his regretful memoirs.
He pushed another coin and pressed her dial numbers in, clearing his throat as he waited for her mailbox to chime in.
“I thought of calling you.. but you won’t pick up, so I’m here. Hi.”
Another coin..
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry.”
Another one..
“I bought the car you wanted, but uh- it won’t start up, I guess it’s ‘cause you’re no longer here with me.”
There were no one to blame but their lost fortnights.
