KIDDOS 🩵🩶✨🥺
revisited my young designs for these two.
Posting Meteora because its my birthday and i do what i want pt 1 (pt 2)
I love how in the original 2011 pitch for svtfoe is that Toffee was just a super regular guy who works with Ludo (While still somewhat has the double-crosser motif (?) ), and basically has a regular office schedule, and takes his kid to school like a regular office dad
Moontoffee is a monster fucking ship but like. From Toffee's pov. Imagine you've spent years studying this family with unique magical powers because you think they're evil and weird and need to be stopped and then you end up dating one
Does anyone still gaf about them cause I have a couple more things in my drafts 👀
I heard toffee and eclipse have a 'date'. What would happen if Elista saw it?
I'm afraid that in my universe, it's simply impossible. Elistafet and Toffee first meet Eclipse when she is still a child. They are adults; they literally watch her grow up. Therefore, even after she comes of age, any attempt to build a romantic line for these characters would look immoral.
For Elistafet, meeting little Eclipse is necessary for the plot. It is through her interaction with a child that her most tender and sincere traits are revealed. The naivety and heartfelt desire of the little girl to go against her own mother to do the right thing forces Elistafet to reconsider her views and reconcile with her human half. She becomes attached to Eclipse, and although a maternal role is generally far from her character, here she acts precisely as a counterweight to Solaria, Eclipse's birth mother, though she mainly serves as a mentor.
And for Toffee, the child is the perfect, unsuspicious tool. It's much easier for him to gather information with little Eclipse, which he can later use against Butterfly.
Toffee also must be an adult. By the time of their confrontation with Elistafet, he must already be an experienced and dangerous figure to her. During this time, he manages to have been a prince, engage in an ideological conflict with Seth, leave Septarsirs, serve time in prison, and gain his freedom.
This is the main reason why I can't make the three of them the same age.
In general, creating romantic relationships is not my strong suit. I avoid them in the narrative so much that they are simply absent in the plot. I can write friendship, partnership, parent-child bonds. But I am in no hurry to write romantic arcs for any of the characters.
Thanks for the question..I hope it wasn't disappointing. 🥺
ice ice...... toffee ? idk why he's in my doodles
