I had made this for my friend, @precollst !
It serves as words of encouragement and just something I'd thought would be nice to do! I think Elistafet had come out very cute, I find her very fun to sketch 🦎
Also Toffee came out to look suave in a way lol..
Yay! Happy birthday to ya
It's almost the end of the year, I hope you'll enjoyed the upcoming year. Have lots of happiness, take care of yourself, and don't get sick. May you live a long life.

Hoarding Disorder🐍🦎
Hoarding Syndrome in Elistafet and Toffee, and the latter having to deal with it. The clash of their defense mechanisms.
Toffee possesses very low emotional intelligence, and for this reason, his help in curing a mental illness remains limited. His world is built on control and clear agreements, and in his relationship with Elista, he offers only these tools—requests, deadlines, obligations—leaving the deeper layers of trauma unaddressed. He understands the reasons for her condition and sees the logic behind every step, but his own emotional apparatus does not grant him access to the levers that could unravel this knot, so he remains within the bounds of his competence, registering external manifestations instead of facilitating internal transformation.
Elistafet has experienced the loss of her family and the destruction of her familiar way of life, where her existence was filled with freedom and will. After the war with Solaria, she lost her culture, because the ideal of freedom shattered against the ban on monsters freely traveling through Mewni. Hunger and poverty lasted for many years of her youth, and this experience distorted her perception of things, giving material objects the meaning of absolute reliability and permanence. In the end, she settled in Toffee's workshop in search of refuge, but this decision exacerbated her loneliness and lack of live communication, closing the circle of social isolation. She transferred all her need for attachment onto inanimate objects, sinking deeper into her trauma every day and forming hoarding syndrome as a persistent way to maintain control over the world through possession.
Traditional attire of the Uroboroses and Septarsis
Here, in this time, they are still so young. Toffee still wears his crown of branches — he hasn't renounced the throne yet, he remains a prince. This is one of my favorite details about the local monsters: their crowns, woven from twigs and shoots. They feel so raw, so primal — a perfect reflection of their untamed nature.
The new style he's showing off now goes against everything the old traditions stand for. Maybe it's his personal act of rebellion against his ancestors' ways. Or maybe — it's a quiet symbol of his identity slowly slipping away.
It's curious how the immortal monsters adorn themselves with bones and skulls. You could read it as a sort of mockery of death — the one thing that, unlike everything else, simply cannot touch them.
Elstafet, on the other hand, prefers to keep her hood on. She tries not to stand out, to blend in with the other snakes and meet their standards. But of course, it's all in vain. The Uroboros wear white to set themselves apart — to signal their elevation, their distance from other monsters.
From a young age, Uroboros are taught to dance and sing. It's a core part of their self-expression — an art meant to bring delight to other monsters. But after the war began, Elstafet never made a sound again. And the disability she gained has forever taken away her ability to touch any instrument.
Their ideals here are so different that, if they were free monsters living on Mewni without the Butterflys, they would never have chosen to work together.
But reality is cruel: their world is destroyed, their traditions erased, their land no longer theirs. And this grief — it's shared. It binds the territorial lizards and the free snakes alike.
I'm just overcoming the art block..

The Seven Deadly Sins and the characters🩹
I'm genuinely really curious to know which of the seven deadly sins you would assign to which character.
I'll post my own version a bit later, where I'll break down in detail who I think fits which sin pride, envy, wrath, etc.
But here's something else that cracks me up. The contrast. Toffee looks so compact standing next to two actual giants, Rasticore and Seth. And that's what I love about him. He has room for a sense of his own imperfection. The motivation to compensate for his less monstrous size with intelligence. That's such a great explanation for why he's so detached from the other monsters. How different he is.
All these characters know each other well. They share a common history and have their own personal story arcs. If I were just a little more patient and organized, I could totally go into detail about each one. Their conflicts, motivations, development.
A long time ago, Toffee didn't get hit alone. He always had a partner who was ready to share his unfortunate fate.
Even though I spent a lot of time on this, it was worth every frame. Nothing describes the relationship between Toffee and Elista better than this video.😅
I never aimed to create a romantic relationship between them; the most important thing was to let them be partners and friends who hold on to each other in moments of the most devastating injustice.
