Behold my favourite BUFF FROG!

While rewatching Svtfoe I once again fell in love with Yvgeny Bulgolyubo (Buff Frog) all over again. After realising there is 0% merch of him I embraced the fact I can create anything I want!

Now I wonder how to make them babies? 🤔

I have a question what do you think of buff frog?

oooo buff frog, i have mostly positive opinions on buff frog, i do really enjoy his addition of a side character to the cast and ally, he's charming and really funny

like for star vs to tackle the themes it wanted to tackle, you needed more monsters in the main cast who were like....not antagonists

really, any of my complaints about his character purely revolve on how weirdly they handle him in s3 and 4

like....they give him a job at the castle as monster ambassador.....which could be super interesting for the show to explore.....only for his next episode to be him leaving, mentioning how the job went through some side comments, and that's it

they give him a job, never mention it again, and then he just leaves, the whole thing felt entirely pointless and a missed opportunity

oh yeah, he even has that line about when star rules maybe things will get better, which did not age well

and then in s4 he just....shows back up, with no warning, like i get the intention is that "Oh, eclipsa has made things safer for monsters" but like....he just shows up, with no fanfare really after his dramatic sad last appearance.....it's really weird

it's like we missed an episode or something

and really that ends up being his last relevant appearance in the series outside of threating tom if he broke star's heart (Oh the irony) , and just being one of the monsters mina tries to kill in the finale

i mean they did a lot of the cast dirty in star, and i don't think BF's is the most offensive, it could of been MUCH worse given what happened to a lot of the other characters

but he did get very shafted, he's not out of character i would say (Though it seems like they forgot the fact he can't write in the later seasons but whatever, there's a lot of continuity issues in this show), but it just feels like the later seasons had really no interest in doing much of anything with him

That plate of corn Star left for Buff Frog on Mewni-pendence (a nickname he only accepted once Star accepted him) did more for Mewman and Monster relationships than Eclipsa ever did. And that's just the beginning of her changes that are all more significant that "give them back what the Mewmans took by pulling a complete uno reverse on Mewmanity".

All this to say, I've watched this show more than anyone else who doesn't fall asleep to it every single night and has fallen asleep to it every single night for four years. A reminder of someone's ancestry being seen as an acceptance of racism was serious self-reporting.
