Do you have any advice for someone who wants to get into the industry but doesn't know where to start?
Hello anon! Thank you for the question ❤️ I'm not sure I'm the best to answer this one, but I'll do my very best! It may get long, though - sorry about that in advance 😅
I want to preface this post with saying that I have primarily done fssw - full service sex work (aaaaand this post is now tumblr banned, lol). By this, I mean I have done stripping (not successfully), sugar dating (slightly more successful), and escorting (very successful). And starting next week, I'll be doing brothel work every other week, so once I've had my first weekend there, I can get back to you what that's like!
Alright. First off, sit down and think about what kind of sex work you want to do. Do you want to do camming / sell pictures where you're (probably) the most in control of everything? If yes, what parts of your body do you want to... expose, for lack of better word? Feet? Armpits? More intimate parts? All of the above? There are sites dedicated to pretty much every part of the human body, so if you feel comfortable with it, you could ask over on Reddit for links / resources. You could, of course, also google these things and see what pops up. I can't be of any help with camming / selling pictures, unfortunately, since it's not an area I'm comfortable with. I do have a profile / user on feetfinder, though, but I have yet to use it... Of course, most people know onlyfans at this point, but there are sooo many other sites you can work with - I'm sure the right threads and people on Reddit could help more extensively 😄
If you think you'd be more into full service sex work, though, I'm your ho 😎 I did a bit of stripping in Ireland, and while I didn't make bank, it was a lot of fun, and a more gentle way to get into sex work, in my opinion. I have also done a few months of sugar dating, and around 1-2 years combined of escorting. I personally got into escorting by simply googling 'escort [city close to me]' and just... browsing the search results until I found something that looked good and trustworthy. After that, I signed up for an escort website where I made a profile, advertising myself and my services while highlighting what I was not interested in doing with clients, and of course listing my prices. In my experience, though, don't bother too much with a foot-long profile text; most guys (and girls, probably) look at your photos, and these will convince them to book an appointment with you. This is not to say that you SHOULDN'T write a good, juicy profile text - because you should! If nothing else, it's good fun - but just don't expect everyone to read it.
I would strongly strongly STRONGLY suggest starting a group chat with some trusted friends / family members in your own country / state. In this group chat, you send at least the following information for EVERY booking you make / get:
Name of client
Address of client
Scheduled length of appointment (and let the chat know if this gets changed)
When you arrive at the client's place / hotel / what-have-you
When you leave again
Dress nicely (flattering clothes, pretty makeup, some nice shoes), but don't overdo it (unless your client has specified otherwise). Shower before every appointment, and wear a light perfume. Arrive in good time (like 5 minutes early seems to have worked fine for me). Be cordial, but firm; indirectly let the client know that if they start any shit, they lose the privilege of your time and company. ALWAYS ASK FOR THE MONEY FIRST. CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. DO NOT GET SCAMMED BY LOSERS WHO WANT YOU BUT DON'T HAVE THE MONEY. Always carry and insist on using your own condoms to avoid tampered-with condoms / condoms with holes poked in them. Related, have a good few different kinds and sizes of condoms in your arsenal. Set an alarm / timer for how much time you have with the client. Have some water and maybe a light snack ready in your car for when you get back.
Hmmm, what else, what else... Have a nice wardrobe when it comes to underwear / lingerie? Lots of guys (and girls, too, probably) get really turned on by sexy lingerie.
ALSO VERY important, though; consider what your country's / state's stance on sex work is. In my country, for instance, it's fully legal as long as it's consensual. In Sweden, it's legal to sell sex, but illegal to buy sex (wtf @ Sweden). So, look into the laws that are relevant to you, and figure out either how to A) cheat the system AND NOT GET BUSTED or B) do it by the books and pay taxes of your income
I'm afraid I'm drawing a blank on more advice... I'm sorry 😅 If you want to chat one-on-one about this, you (and anyone reading this!) can add me on discord: valentinosproperty
I hope this has been just a little bit helpful! If not, feel free to send another ask if you want to know, like, very specific things 💗
(Sorry if there are typos or anything, it's very early morning for me 😅) Have a good one, anon!
