I roll my eyes, exasperated with Nathan's need to relate everything to eggs, and catch my reflection in the mirror across the room, only to find that what is rolling in my skull are not eyes, but eggs. Horrified and confused, I lift my hands to my face, and a cool, smooth surface meets my skin. My hands, it seems, have been removed. In their place are two perfectly round eggs. In a fit of utter terror, I let a scream erupt from my throat. However, no noise meets my ears. Instead, a cascade of eggs of all forms is propelled from my throat, splattering against the ceiling. The yolk, cold and slimy rains down, dripping onto my person, and all over my floor, and my belongings. My whole body becomes bloated, my skin shifts from a light tan to a pasty white. Inside, I can feel my organs beginning to dissolve into a thick liquid.
My greatest fear has become a reality. I, myself, am becoming an egg.
