For a moment the companion to swake seemed to be swoose, though I could not recall its origin nor, indeed, whether it was a swangoose or a swanmoose. It sounded like an untrustworthy creature and I viewed it with suspicion, but having once more gazed upon the goskling, my faith is restored. The monswoose is the only known predator of the swake and is deserving of all the distrust the name invokes
