Yesterday I stumbled across this little curiosity from the Swamp Room label from 2006. This recording can be seen as a kind of counterpart to The Desert Sessions, featuring a relatively wild mix of more or lesser known musicians from the German scene, including Philipp Rasthofer and Stefan Koglek from Colour Haze, and two members of the Mandra Gora Lightshow Society. The record can be divided into three main parts, starting with Amon Duul-like meanderings, then there are quite cool lengthy tracks (30min + 20min) strongly reminiscent of Colour Haze, but also shorter surf-like garage rock with twang guitar, matching the musicians of the Swamp Room family. For those who remember, the annual festivals were a similar mix back then. The album was available as a free download with a card board sleeve provided by the label. You can listen to the whole record here. It wouldn't hurt to put it on Bandcamp if you ask me ;)
