New Orleans Post #3 If you come to New Orleans, you need to take take an airboat on their bayou. Bayous are bodies of water mainly close the the Gulf Coast. Southern Louisiana contains around 45 percent of the wetlands found in the lower states. This is because Louisiana is the drainage gateway to the Gulf of Mexico for the Lower Mississippi Regional Watershed. We took a bayou tour at Marrero and it was great. #TBt // Have always wanted to visit the Bayou especially after watching @princessandthefrog_ @disney & that chance finally came! Was I nervous AF? Hell yah 🤯😅 the minute the boat hit the swamp, those branches stuck out, bugs came swarming, saw some big cat fishes & then came the crocodiles 👀 I still can’t fathom people used to live in the bayou.... like.... nvm . . . . Need a quick weekend trip around the gulf? Check out a swamp tour!! It was sooooo fun!!
