“Monday, Monday,” as performed by The Mamas and the Papas, tends to lodge itself in my head the moment the week begins. Now it might be in yours, too. Some songs are just contagious like that, aren’t they? I’ll admit, this is also one of those times I’m padding the page—filling space when I’ve got nothin’ to say. That foggy first-thing-in-the-morning silence isn’t exactly unusual. I’d linger in it a little longer, but Charlie’s waiting to be fed, and we’ve got a Monday Walk to greet.
