she had been pacing back and forth - - - almost unable to say what was in her throat. this was it. the moment she knew would come, regardless. bella could not be allowed to stay here with her - - - not when it would risk her life. and edythe had to make a choice. painful as it was, if it would help the girl move on and live normally, well, she could deal with the p a i n. she had not spoken in minutes, though, putting it off as long as possible. her porcelain features were rock hard, emotionless. yet her mind was whirling. how would she leave bella? how would she survive? then again, this had never been about her. she would live the rest of her miserable existence in agony, but this was something she must do, to protect the girl she loved.
