I should probably start by saying that I have become a mother for the second time, the first time I gave birth to a daughter, and now a son.

I gave birth for free under Compulsory Medical Insurance at the Chelyabinsk Regional Perinatal Center. By the way, I also gave birth to my first child there, and I am very grateful to the staff for giving birth, both the first time and the second time, everything was at the highest level.

I'll tell you a little about the maternity hospital... It looked something like this: the lights were turned off and the projector was turned on. I was really sleepy, but I couldn't fall asleep because of the contractions. Everything was at hand, and a staff call button with a walkie-talkie, and a comfortable couch that turned into an armchair during childbirth, everything was nearby, the staff was cool, experienced and responsive.

As for the birth itself, I had them in partnership. My husband was very worried about me, but he was there all the time during labor and childbirth. He helped me through the pain a lot and supported me mentally. At the right moments, it was he who conveyed to the doctors the information that I was trying to convey, but could not because of my condition. The birth itself went pretty quickly, I gave birth in about 2-3 hours, taking into account the contractions. The child was born with a weight of 4kg 350g and a height of 55 cm, for me, a girl with a height of 158 cm, this is not a small child. When the baby was born, he was handed over to his husband for skin-to-skin contact, which was nice, and the baby calmed down pretty quickly and even fell asleep.

After giving birth, I was transferred to the postpartum ward, and my husband was sent home. We stayed in the postpartum ward for 3 days while the baby and I were examined. I was treated with vitamins and injected with oxytocin. There were small but pleasant gifts from the perinatal center for discharge.

We've already had some adventures getting home after discharge, but that's another story.
