Thursday night here at the shop we have a very special event! In 1992 Miami band The Holy Terrors released their 2nd single, "Cigarettello", recorded w/ Frank (Rat Bastard) Falestra at Sync Studios in Miami Beach. The single became a staple on Miami's own @wvum905, and Rich Ulloa of Yesterday & Today Records has said it was the best-selling local single in Y&T's history! Now, 27 years later, Y&T Music is releasing a Limited Edition EP with the original Cigarettello single (b/w Bad Thing) and two recently-unearthed never-before-heard songs recorded in 1990! Join Rich and original members Rob Elba & Sam Fogarino for this release party with special performances by Humbert, Brady Newbill, Turtle Grenade, Rachel Angel, and Rat Bastard as well as a few more surprises! Feeling some feelings... A Miami eternity ago in 2005, Sweat Records opened this month at 2320 NE 2nd Ave (next to where @msbunniecakes now resides). Later that year a hurricane named Wilma changed our destiny & we moved into the back at @churchills_pub, & a year-ish later into our location next door that we’ve now called home for over a decade. We welcome you into our home tonight to celebrate 14 years of music, events, friendships, loves, losses, connections, & unforgettable experiences. Sure we sell (awesome) records but none of the above can be bought. It’s real life & it’s important & it’s primarily why we’re here.
